By any chance don't join, Stansfield School of business, chennai, it is a fake! I will tell you what I was met with, and decide yourself. Almost all MBA aspirants will come across the ad for Stansfield School of business, chennai. I too got attracted by it; the website says its 1 yr MBA course, 3 months internship at Singapore. And its founder is someone who is Singapore’s big entrepreneur. So it has got a big future, like that. I called the college they said they have 100% placements in all big company. I said I am interested in HR specialization, and I asked them that I need to speak with this year passed out students. They gave me two mobile numbers, and I called them. One is a lady, said her name is renu or something said good placement, bla, bla. Other is guy said the same. I was fully satisfied, and they said no GMAT, CAT, etc. Both fresher and exp can join. And said seats are limited. I am about to pay 3.5 lakhs fee tomm, and I just called my friend today and told the same. He jerked off and said, wait don’t join. I know a friend who joined one year back and still not placed. I was shocked and asked his frnd’s mobile no, and what the truth is horrible……… He said we also got all sorts of placement promise, but after we joined, we come to know all these things are fake. They have taken to Singapore for last 1 month and taught something like yoga, karate, etc. The faculties are also not good. Till the last month of the course, we have no placements. And Accenture comes for placement, but only one person got thru in their aptitude test, they have gone without taking anyone. After that some insurance companies came in and took some students and the profile is similar to the insurance agents. Now I heard the owner of this college sold it to someone. Finally, they know what will make us fall in their prey. What we are looking for is, a B-school not asking for GMAT/CAT and easy interview process, but should have good placement. These guys are utilizing our curiosity for 1 yr MBA, and making money, but leaving our career at stake. Guys even if you join some known, 3rd notch MBA, even not having 100% placement, sure you can do something on that. But this is surely a pitfall. You don’t get a recognized certificate, and your one year and money is wasted. Careful. Regards Cool Guy |
