Admission process for MBA schools - 07-06-2008, 02:41 AM

Hi,
I am new to this thread. I have taken GMAT. I want to join in a B -school in the fall of 2009. Can anyone pls let me know what the process is -- i am a complete novice to this --

1) How to search for schools -- Is there any website where you can find the rankings of the schools

2) Different information like how costly an institution we can go for (keeping in view that i can virtually nothing from my pocket )

3) How can we zero-in on the schools -- if i am interested in a B-school, how can know the inside-out of that school , like how can i get in touch with someone studyng there ?

Pls guys, pls help me out

Regards
Kishore

There are many rankings available. For US schools the most trusted one comes from US News. For international rankings, you can check many sources, like FT, The Economist, Forbes, QS, Whitefield. Some are not reliable at all, but you can get an idea about what programs are around.

In the FT rankings, and in most of the others, you will find links to each university where you will be able to find info about costs, scholarships, etc.

In order to get info about the school, you can search the blogs, ask the admission office to put you in contact with current students or alumni, or you can use websites like Facebook and look for groups of alumni. Plus you will find loads of info in this website, surf it and you will see how valuable it is!

Have fun!
