@atouchofcrypticthunder and @nagpalkunal

thanks a ton guys your work is really helpful!!!

I have a query for you: I plan to take my gmat by Sep last week which gives me 15 days exactly to meet the first deadline for Tuck School. My scores at present are 620-640 and i hope to reach 750 to stand a decent chance of a interview call and scholarships. My questions are:

1. Is 15 days enough for me to write the essays for Tuck school only? If its not is it a good idea to get professional help for this?

2. Does 750 give me fighting chance for a aid schorlarship?

Your replies are eagerly awaited!!

Thanks,
Inquizitive.

Hey Inquizitive,

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

With regards to Tuck (I plan to apply there as well):

* The interviews for Tuck are unique in the sense that most interviews happen before you even submit your application. The entire interview is done based on your resume and because of the really unique environment Tuck has to offer they prefer applicants to interview on campus. That being said, there are interviews that happen after applications are submitted like most of the other business schools.

* Different people have different styles of working. Presuming that you have done the introspective part of the application process, and you are clear about which accomplishments you want to highlight then I def think you should be able to get a good application together in 15 days. The more schools you apply to in Round 1 the tougher the task gets.

* While need based, Tuck requires a separate financial aid/scholarship application to be filled in. This applications is to be submitted by the deadline for the particular round. You are at a higher chance of getting aid if you apply EA. Check the school website for more details.

* A score of 700 and above is strong. But ensure that your individual section are above the 80%ile mark.

Hope this helps. Good luck on the GMAT.

Best,

Rosh
