Folks,
I am sure many of us would have started working on the application form. The document does not allow any formatting changes and in middle of the second page for an essay, it does not allow me to enter any more text. Are you guys typing in your essays in the app form itself? Did you face any similar issue?

Thanks,
Dheeraj.

You can use extra sheets to continue your essay. For example, you can start the essay by typing on the first page and move on to a separate word document for the second page. Once done, you can attach the hard copy of second page just after the first page of that essay.
It stops in the middle of second page because based on the typical length of an essay, the length has been restricted in the form. Without any limit, the form alignment would become very unmanageable.
You are free to add any number of extra sheets.

Hello All,

Is there anyone in this group who is applying from mainland Europe(i.e outside UK)? If so what are the plans if you get selected for an interview. How easy is it to get a visa to UK from other countries?

I am currently in Germany and the end of my overseas assignment has not yet been clearly defined. If my overseas assignment gets over by end of August, then I would be back in India and there would be no issues. But in case it gets extended there is a possibility that I might be in Germany if I get selected for the interview.I had written to the PGPEX office and they told me that telephonic interview is possible only in cases where other modes are not possible.

It might seem a little premature that I am discussing about interview calls at this stage. But I want to make plans for all possible situations.Hence I am enquiring for the same in this forum.

Thanks & Regards,
Sudarshan.

I'm planning to apply for PGPEX program of IIM-C, I had already taken GMAT on 04/08/2007. When I had taken the test, I had asked pearson to send the GMAt score to IIM-C at that time. M/s Pearson might have sent my GMAT score at that time.

I would like to know, whether, I would have to tell them once again to send the score now.

Please do clarify

regards

If Pearson has already sent it then you need not send it again. Once they send the score to an institute, it is reflected in the official score report...

Dear Altitude,

I am sorry if the answers to my questions below are common knowledge but my knowledge about IIMC is limited. I had placed IIM's on a very high pedestial (read beyond my reach). On starting the apps I feel I need to know more and get an idea of the IIM culture. Here are few questions for you

1. What is the method of teaching? Is it more case study based or lecture based. If case studies what is your opinion of case studies done in the Indian context.

2. How often does IIMC invite guest speakers? Is there a place I can get a list of recent guest speakers?

3. What is your opinion on the encouragent IIMC provides for entrepreneurs and funding.

4. I understand that it is a general management course but most B schools have their strengths based on the pedegree of the professors. According to you which areas do you think IIMC is strongest in ( Marketing, Consulting, etc,)

5. 1 Q which has nothing to do with my apps. Do IIM professor do consulting for companies while they are involved with IIMC. Are students involved in helping the profs.

My list may be unusually long. Please answer them at your convenience.

Dear Sudarshan,

I am from UK and getting a visit visa is very easy if you are applying from Germany. I would say you should not worry about it. You might need to apply 3 weeks in advance.
