hey Nikhil!

i guess your affordability criteria are age and amazing profile.

For me, I cannot financially afford INSEAD, yet I applied! let's see if i reach the stage where I need to worry about arrangements - would take decisions as they come!

All the best!

Does everyone applying to INSEAD have international experience?

Do you know anyone studying in INSEAD who does not have any 'internal experience' ?

Any response from INSEAD alumni will be appreciated.

It does not matter which campus you apply to as INSEAD guarantees that you can make a campus switch. The campus that you choose to spend most of your time in should be determined by where you would like to work geographically post MBA. If you want a job in the Singapore/Asia region, you better show potential employees your commitment to that region by spending at least 2 of the terms there. Likewise if you want a job in Europe.
That said, being in France does give you the opportunity to have one-on-one interactions with major consulting companies and banks, I don't know to what extent this is true for the Singapore campus. In terms of the quality of teaching or quality of students, both campuses are identical, though Singapore being smaller in intake size makes for a closer bonding with your batchmates.
All the above are factors you can consider when applying, the decision will depend on your priorities.

I'm not an alumni but based on the information I have INSEAD is big on international/multicultural experience. I personally do not know of anyone who's got admission without having an international stint on their resume. If you've an otherwise amazing profile to counteract the lack of international experience you can still apply, but you need to have done something exceptional in your career to appeal to Adcom. Or if you've worked with crosscultural and international teams while working in India, maybe you can try highlighting that, don't know how much weight it will carry though.
All the best!

Hi Rai:

You may check up Business Week Forum named INSEAD 2008 - page 43 , Feb 23 a post by Priyanka.

I would quote her mail here - I wonder if she's an international experience -

Check out the post and maybe you can gain some insight from her.

All the best.

"Hey, am new here. Just got the admit call yesterday from INSEAD (Fontainebleu campus). Brief stats as follows:
GMAT: 700 (V - 40, Q - 47, AWA - 6.0) Demographics: 27/Female/Indian
Work ex: 4 years in Advertising (on a leading FMCG brand) & Marketing (in the retail sector)
Educational background: B.com with distinction followed by a Communications Management diploma from MICA, Ahmedabad
Strong extracurricular achievements, particularly in literature/creative writing and other student leadership initiatives.
Am looking to touch base with other admits from India, specially Mumbai....!"

Re: INSEAD 2009 Applicants - 08-03-2008, 05:56 AM

I also received the mail that my application is completed for the first round.

A question for you guys -- I got admission to the ISB earlier last month, but INSEAD is still my top choice school. I have to start ISB on Apr 12th so I will have to spend some money on that.

If seleced, I would like to sort out my interviews before I leave the country. Do you guys know if anyone has had luck with INSEAD to get them to notify you about the interview before the scheduled earlier than 4/18?

Also when I contact INSEAD to request them to inform me earlier, is it recommended to mention that I have an admit from another school or would that be counted against me?

Thanks,
