Congrats to ppl on getting admitted,

I got a letter sayin that they will keep my application on record nd wuld encourage me to apply not until jan 2011 (aftr gaining more work ex). It is also written that it a letter of encouragement and should not be seen as rejection.

has anybody else gotten sumthin of this sort?? i m not sure if this is just a rejection put in a soft way.... !!????!!

It is definitely not a letter of rejection. What is your profile? Particularly your work-ex? When I attended the INSEAD information session in New York, one of the alums had gotten a similar reply from INSEAD the first time around. He then re-applied, and got admitted.

I also read about a few people getting a similar notification for the Sep '08 batch on the BW forums. It really does mean that if you definitely want to go to INSEAD, wait till Jan '11 and apply then. INSEAD will seriously consider your application and you'll already have a leg up.

I know that it sucks to wait, cuz ur ready to start an MBA at this point in your life, but nonetheless, its not a rejection.
