That would be preferable, since they would always want to see the marks.

INSEAD interviews - 09-04-2008, 11:51 PM

Hi,

Anyone had their interviews yet? Mind sharing your experience? I am in Mumbai for work right now, and have my first interview this Friday.

I got 2 alum contacts who were traveling abroad, and their profiles sounded very impressive. Anyone had anything besides the general MBA questions in the interviews?

I'll be extremely tied up next week, but will try to post my experiences later this weekend.

Thanks, and good luck to all!

I am from India and haven't heard from INSEAD other than "under evaluation". Considering how many people have already heard back (based on the forum responses), the chance look quite slim now. Sigh......

Hey guys .. they have asked for all colleges and universities you have attended till date. Does our 10th & 12th Boards count?

They have asked for academic achievements, honours and awards .. will awards at work count?

Hoping for a reply.

Hi PGs,

I am an R2 applicant and working on the essays right now. Need some advice from you guys.

For the essay asking for 2 accomplishments, will it be ok if I cover one tangible and one intangible accomplishment? By intangible I mean soft skill related achievement.

Looking for your shrewd advice.

Hi Bachbencher,

My personal perception is that what matters is the content of your essays, and the flow of words ending to a conclusion about your personality. It is not important whether it is a tangible or an intangibel achievement. In fact, a well worded and explained intangible experience could be more influencing than a tangible achievement.

Further, for any tangible achievement, the ultimate focus is on your personality traits and not any monetary or other gain. Thus, even a tangible achievement must reflect an interpersonal or personality capability.

Re: INSEAD 2009 Applicants - 15-04-2008, 08:12 PM

Hey guys,

As promised, I'll post up information on my interview. I had my interview in Mumbai (am from the US, but in India right now). The interviewer was extremely professional, and the whole experience was fantastic. We talked a lot about INSEAD itself, life after it and he made it a point to really get to know my goals. He said that apparently INSEAD has a very detailed questionnaire that he has to fill out for them! Anywho, all in all it was a great experience. At the end of the interview he told me that he will very strongly recommend me to INSEAD!!

The questions were fairly generic. The usual suspects, Why MBA, Why INSEAD Why now, how willt his add value to your career, team work, how to handle disputes in teamwork. Essentially I felt it was extremely important to have a very clear vision of what you want, or at the very least able to comunicate a very clear reason to them There were no trick quetsions, or anything out of the blue. It lasted for one hour, and was very satisfied with the process..

Good luck to those interviewing right now, and all the best to those who haven't heard back yet!
