Do we only need to list the hobbies ? or Elaborate the hobby and write a small 100-150 words description of the hobby..? And what should be the content of hobbies description if the hobby is one of vey comman one like listening music, reading book.
I appreciate your response.

Though have zeroed in on a few colleges for one yr pgmes, which are, ISB, IIM A PGPX, INSEAD, IiM Cal, but have great misgivings about whether they will take a guy at 40 yrs age and 20 yrs wk ex, with 690/5 on GMAT.
Anyone who has been through, or is going thru exp like mine or was in similar sit, pl help and tell if admissions committees will shortlist me at all. If they do then will they ask doubts such as why at 40? and how to tackle such questions.
Also one very personal doubt: My work life after one yr MBA will start at 42. Will I have enough time to recover my investment of 20 Lac in ISB?? What would be the best course for me as of now. Have to know before I start wasting money on the application processes!!
Also wanted to share my GMAT exp for all u takers. Managed 690 with 44 in Quant and 40 in Verbal. Could have done better in Quant though. By Question 20 in quant, u will reach level of ur competence. Thereafter each question will make u sweat, and work hard. PS will be 3-4 steps and require calculations, and so will DS. In my case, did not know why they were throwing such questions at me. Had not seen them during prep. Tried solving them all and finished my time by 33rd question. So very stupid of me. Lesson is - be prepared for tough ones from 18-20 question onwards, coz that is where the CAT would have reached ur level of competence. Plan ur time well. Take care

HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!!
I planned to submit the ISB app in Cycle1. I actually thought of doing it today. I prepared all the essays and app. But missed to note one thing. That the final date for evaluations is also same as App deadline... i got the evaluators, but i hit the "Send mail" button only today... donno how i overlooked this... now the status says "Mail sent to admin"... but in the instructions it says, "Online Application will verify the genuinity of the e-mail id"... i am tensed and confused now... it is weekend, so i can't call ISB... i am in US, so by the time it is monday for me, the deadline will be over... my evaluators are ready to help me with this one weekend...
now can someone tell me...
1.) how long will it take from the time i hit "Send mail" and the time it is sent to the evaluator?
2.) This verification of e-mail id an automated process? or a manual (in which case i am dead).
3.) any better ideas?
i desperately want to apply in cycle-1... i have everything ready, except the link for my evaluators...
someone... please shoot me... :2gunfire:

shoot an email asap to the adcom and try to reach them Saturday morning (IST) on the phone.. not sure if they would be available over the weekend..
for me, the verification was completed within 24 hrs and an email sent out to me(confirmation) and my evaluators (with the online link for submission).
call ISB to confirm whether the deadline ends by midnight IST on Monday, still your evaluators will get enough time to post the reco and submit, only if they have the text ready by that time... reco questions are available for download as a pdf on the same page in the application.
ATB.

Hi All,
I just wanted to know if these three are the only documents that need to be scanned and uploaded:
1. Photo
2. Passport page showing name, dob, citizenship and photo
3. Latest salary slip
Is there anything else missing in my list ?

Hello Sudhizurs
In my case it took less then 12 hours for the verification of email id of my evaluators. In your case i would suggest you to go ahead and ask your evaluator to get the text ready (the question you can download from appliaction form or from this forum). Use this weekend to get your evaluator write the answer of recoo questions. If your evaluaters cooprate with you you will be able to submit you application before the deadline.
All the best
