Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 27-08-2008, 07:37 AM

I added an evaluator to the application and received a mail from ISB saying that the evaluator's information has been approved and email sent. (5 days ago). Today, I casually asked him if he had received the mail and said No. He rechecked and confirmed that he did not receive any mail.
There is no option to resend mail on ISB application.
Any one has any idea how can I resend an evaluation request ??

I suppose the best thing to do would be to contact the admissions office - I believe the emalid is pgpadmissions@isb.edu

Any re-applicants here? What are your strategies for a successful case this time? In other words, what are you trying to focus on in the re-applicant essay?

As for me, I am one of the wait-listed folks from last year. Hated every day of waiting and felt as a fool after getting the 'rejection' letter after three month's of wait period.

Guys, take care and Good Luck !

Hi,
This question is about one of the Essay topics given in the ISB application. The topic is this:

CASE : You have been appointed to head the team to build a dam across the River Zumba. Success in this project is critical for your company and would earn you a promotion. Failure would mean that your company would be bankrupt and will take along with it, its investors and its employees. Building a dam across the river would result in deforestation of a portion of the rainforests and would mean relocation of the tribals and destabilization of wild life at Zumba. There is resistance from environmental groups against your project. You are meeting the head of the resistance movement in one hour wherein you would have to explain your decision. Describe what you would do and why? (You will be evaluated on the creativity and practicality of your solution).

Now it says describe what you would do and why. I am not clear what this means. Does the Essay require me to write down what I would be telling the head of the resistance movt? i.e the content of my justification of the project. OR does the essay what me to describe what I would be doing in the one hour I have before the head of the resistance movt arrives?
I am not at all clear on this. It would help a lot if someone can throw light on this. What are the other applicants writing?
Thanks

Hi All,

I applied last year to ISB in R2 and got dinked :( My interview went really bad. I am thinking if we have some mock interviews among ourselves or we can pull in some alumnis. I am based out of Bangalore. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Gaurav

The eligibility criteria for ISB is minimum 2 yrs of work-ex after graduation.

Not that PuYs don't help, but it makes a difference if you do your research as well - browse their website, you will find much more information over there.

Cheers

Hi

One thing is for sure that from this time they are not going to provide us with good feedbacks.

I had an interview call last year (thanks to essaysandsop.com) but got rejected which might be because of stiff competition last year

This time also I have huge fear because they have said the feedback will also be not given.
