BTW I have been to the ISB info sessions more than once - and I am sure they never mentioned 10,000 applicants in any of the sessions I went to. i.e.If applicants == completed apps received. Hope you arent factoring in stuff like how many GMAT scores are reported or something.

The one obvious flaw in the guesstimate is "3/4th of the applicants have posted sometime".

The last line graph shows the usage of the word "admit" and "ding" plotted against time. There are visible spikes in "admit", but not so much in "ding". The spikes probably correspond to the dates the interview calls and results were sent out.

All this is just idle speculation on my part. Please don't take it very seriously

nice work. although, of course, all this analysis will make much more sense after the R2 results are out, so please do redo post feb 10. would make for fun reading.
