Thanks,
The questions are:

1. Under what circumstances and for how long have you known the applicant?
2.
Please rate the applicant's achievements when compared to those of his or her peers and mention the reference group with which you are making these comparisons.
3.
Please describe, in brief, situations where the applicant displayed signs of leadership abilities and team skills.
4.
Please mention two consistent strengths of the applicant and if possible provide instances where she/he demonstrated these strengths.
5.
Please indicate two areas where the applicant has shown learning and improvement which would add value to his application to the ISB.
6.
Please provide any other comments that you consider are relevant to the applicant's admission to the ISB, especially regarding the applicant's career in business/management.

Note: The recommendation must reach the adcom by Sept 15. Also, it takes close to 15 days for the adcom to process your recommendation if it is submitted offline (source: a mail from the adcom).

The apping process will start somewhere around july. In that case, this should be the right time for any aspirant to start preparing for his GMAT.

Let it be anywhere from writing GMAT to Application processes, post you queries here and get it answered.

I hope the current ISB PGs will also help us reach our goal.

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 22-08-2008, 04:10 AM

Hello,

I am an telecom-IT consultant with circa 6 years of experience (3 years India & 3 years international) at Infosys. I am looking forward to apply to ISB this year - Round 1

Profile Snapshot:
GMAT - 680/670/660 (Q-50, V-30/29/2 : AWA = 4/6
10th - 78%
12th - 84%
Undergrad / Postgrad - IIT Bombay Chem Engg Dual Degree (7.7/10) with one semester 10/10
Reco - hopefully will be good - Client & Supervisor
Extra Curricular - very good till College - Sports / Arts / Organisation
Area of work - Telecom Consulting - Business Improvement - Have risen from a coding job to a consulting job within Infosys.

Can somebody be kind to comment on my chances of making it to interview?

What should one's strategy be to compensate for a low GMAT score - if essays then how?

I have looked at the essays and I am little unsure as how could I compensate for low GMAT in essays (practically first 2 essays give some chance) - can somebody help me in here?

I am a reapplicant, I put in my previous application in 2006 R2 in a haste (2-3 days) and saw a regret. Understand that I cannot squander this chance!

Cheers,
PSi

GMAT scores submission - 24-08-2008, 12:54 AM

hey,

This query is primarily for re-applicants. Does a re-applicant need to submit GMAT scores through GMAC again?

I do not see enough scope for assumptions lying with this essay.. you are just been appointed to head the team that builds, so basically can't even assure the environmentalists (the resistance group) to helping with aid in afforestation or any other of their activities.. I guess ISB is looking at finding out how well you can diplomatically tell the environmentalists that you appreciate their efforts.. or tell them on their face to get a real job for themselves !
