Hi!! all,

I was working on the third essay, related to dam case study, wanted to know if we can add some assumptions to the essay, or should it be based only on the case facts given.

Your views please

cheers!!!

Even I had thought about the same and decided (for myself) that I can use assumptions. However, stating them was a problem due to the word limit. I guess I've still left some implicit assumptions in there though.

Cheers

Hi Simz !
Actually just wanted a feedback as to whether there is a music club currently in ISB and what it is called.How many other music clubs are there and how about student participation in those.Any vocal music clubs?
Also as regards student amenities and facilities either in hostel or college,anything that u think should be added which in turn would bring a good change to student life.

Regards
tstar

blame it on PG, for some reasons i stopped getting mails regarding updates to this thread, i am 100% confident that i myself dint turn off the notification feature.

Anyways my apologies to you folks for not having replied to your queries, i can understand that it is application time and you folks are working hard on your essays and this is when u are in most need of help. Thanks to the lack of ping from PG, my own laziness, work load at ISB and several application essays that are pending review in my IM box i havent been able to reply to your queries. Will slowly but steadily clear off the piled up work(your queries) in the meanwhile kindly be patient and pls point me towards your queries(i dont think i will be able to search through 5 pages of post to reply to queries i will mostly pick queries at random and answer them).

Apologies again. and ATB

Cheers,

@tstar,

nice start ;-) but i aint gonna tell you what needs to be done at ISB to improve student life that for you to figure out and show in your essay. That said remember THE ESSAY ISNT A TEST OF YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF ISB ITS MORE A TEST OF WHAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR PEER GROUP AT ISB.

yes there is a music club and guess what its called a music club, they give vocal training, they perform some concerts in ISB fests, there are guitarists, drummers etc in the club, my guess is that it has about 10-15 members. There is only one music club.

@cheet... @p_jeez

its ok to make assumptions but like P_Jeez rightly pointed out there is a word limit you will be forced to stick too hence make few assumptions, e.g. you could tell the leader of the resistant group that the dam will help his clan by improving agriculture in his community but then dont go overboard.

disclaimer : strictly my view , not that of ISB

@ Fuzon
ISB considers the applicants profile as a whole while shortlisting them for admissions. This includes:
1.GMAT score....though there is no minimum or cut off people applying aim for more then 700.
2. Application essays
3.Work expirence
4.Recco letters
5.Acads
6.Extra curricular activities.

For applying one should have min 2 years work exp.

The application process started since July and is completely online. The deadline for round one application is 15th Sept and for round 2 is 1st Dec.
You have to plan your GMAT before 1st Dec if you want to apply for 09-10 batch.

For more info you can visit MBA level, Post Graduate Programme in Management

Cheers !!
