Bosvin,Thanks for your great encouragement, but it was a very serious question yaar. See my GPA of 7.3/10 amounts to only 2.92 out of 4. It will be a rock bottom GPA of any ISB or Harvard batch right? That's what I am worried about! Anand

Okay Anand on a serious note. Your GPA is not the only criterion for shortlisting candidates. In fact I think its the least considered because diff schools have diff syllabi and diff resources and the benchmarks are not the same. For academics there is more weightage given to GMAT something you have cracked big time.

Besides take the time out and go thru the profiles of candidates admitted to the ISB 2008 or 2007 batch and check out their profiles. Few are as prolific as yours. FOr a candidate with above 5 years of work ex obviously more attention would be paid to the workex and not academics which is a guage of the candidate as a kid.

So dont worry I'd say. Make a good application. YOu will definitely be called for the interview and once you get there its all in your hands then. Just be yourself, be confident, be prepared and I think that should be it. YOu will be in your dream school.

Cheers,

Jose.

Any idea what was the average salary package for some guy with an experience of 2yrs who made it into ISB last year?

I can find the average salary for the batch approx. at 20L.

Thanks

I am a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering and presently pursuing my research in USA. I worked in Japan after my Doctorate degree for 3 years as R&D group leader. I have some international patents.
Will my research background play a negative role in case of my MBA admission to ISB?

@rmns64 I am just back from the ISB info sessions here at Nashik. ISB was proudly displaying in their presentation that in their present batch, there are 11 patent holders! So your patent will be a big plus in ur candidature.

Hope this helps!

Puys,

I was just wondering... Aren't there any application fees for ISB? I cant find any mention of it, anywhere.. Or will ISB ask us to pay some amount at the time of submitting our completed application process?

I forgot to ask this today in the VC!

Noel,

The application fee is approx 3K bucks and it needs to be paid at the time of final submission of the application.

Cheers !!
