class of 2009 has 5% guys having <=640(I know few of them are Major,Hockey player--but not all of them)
Remember 5% of 540 is almost 30.

And as I heard from some student volunteers in the selection committee - criteria for interview is not very strict they try to interview as many as possible and then decide on the whole package."

Hi All R1 Applicants,

It may be very early to ask this but i just want to know How is the interveiw conducted?

I mean not just the type of questions that you were asked (i am sure their must have been a huge variety) but also any surprise elements?


1) Question Types: Career goals/progress, Activties, Market Situations or Case problems (I read some where that people with less exp or from IT were given Cases).

What exactly was it? Any patterns?

2) Surprise Elements: Such as impromptu presentations or essays, Puzzles or any other such things?


This will help me in understanding the pattern.

The relative weightage of these parameters is anybodys guess. But since there are 6 parameters of evaluation one can compensate weak area with others.

ISB Co09 do have students with 2-3 years work exp.

This is a really cool idea. I have submitted my app yesterday. Added my profile to this spreadsheet. BTW, Can anybody tell me before how many days we will be intimated if shortlisted for interview ? Is it really 3-7 days ?

guys, i am facing a very unique problem.

one of my recommenders tried submitting the online evaluation tonight but couldn't do so. After giving several attempts, the link showed that the evaluation has been submitted. it also shows that the link is invalid. my online status does not reflect that the evaluation has been received.

I am confused. just informed ISB about it through email and asked my recommender to keep the screenshot image.

can anyone suggest what can be done now?? will ISB reject my application??

Yes. GMAT score is valid for 5 yrs from the date of the test. However, some schools prefer that the scores are not more than 3 years old.

Did your evaluator create a short-cut from the email? It was a problem with my evaluator too. but clicking the link on email was working fine.

Going by R1 interview invites, we can expect to hear from isb around a week before the scheduled interview dates of our city..
