Yes, you need to prepare for that as there is a very good chance that the adcom may ask you to explain the choice of your career given your long term goals. You will be the best person to explain the choices that you have made. But if you feel that the reasons which made you choose IT might not be "presentable" to the adcom, then you need to think of other reasons. You may say that you wanted to earn substantial wealth before starting your own sports academy or something. Even this is open to questions. For instance, you can again be asked as to why you never considered joining some sport related company.
Disclaimer:
To all people trying to explain their choices that you have made and that you want to make:
Please do a lot of introspection and come up with your own (if possible genuine) answers (@Aki No offense meant). For one, if you have to convince the adcom, you will have to be convinced of the reasons to begin with. And so it is likely that you will be convinced of your own answers, and consequentially have an easier time convincing the adcom, than of others'. At the end of the day, it is always better to be genuine than to make things up cause you might end up in serious bad light if the adcom probes too much.
As to whether your career goals can contribute to the diversity, I have quoted the ISB wesite below:
"
Diversity
The ISB believes that student diversity is a very important element of an international education.
Diversity can be in the form of educational background, work experience, nationality or personal experiences and goals. Applicants are encouraged to describe your backgrounds and provide details about how you can contribute to the student community."
Hope this helped.
