IMO, its perfectly fine to have multiple groups.. But let all of us have presence in all these places.. Otherwise it leads to dilution of efforts.

I think I found the issue with the yahoo groups thing. Many of us have subscribed to one which has the id ISB_Class_of_2010 but then I see quite a lot of activity at a group isb-classof2010. Now I don't know how I got subscribed to the old one. Mod of isb-classof2010 please can you approve my membership! (I will bring down the google groups one - we dont need two groups discussing the same thing!)

Hi brandmanager - My score in both attempts were 750 (41V/50Q/5.5AWA) and 660 (39V/42Q/5.0AWA).

Here are my views on the GMAT.

You have a great profile. But I think you really need to get a higher GMAT score to compensate for your marks. Dont get me wrong, but the adcom might view your acads plus GMAT as being consistently average. Acads based screening of candidates is typically done before the interview calls are sent.
So if yuo have time to take the GMAT (it wuold be difficult though with the R2 deadline approaching) and get a better score (maybe you got a lower score because of a similar reason like me in my first attempt) do it. Otherwise apply anyway and see how it goes. Incase you get dinged (I pray not ! ) you have 5-6 months to work on your gmat.

You are clearly on target- Avg ACademic credentials and a avg Gmat...for me

I am seriously banking on my diversity factor, Exp in Start up, ECs, Sports credentials...etc etc..Infact i gave my second attelpt a couple of days back( inspite ppl suggesting me not to in a short duration) cos i wanna apply in R2 this year.

Working on my apps, hope to get Strong recos as well...

Pls keep throwing suggestions.Help would really be valued

Hi Puys,

I have been an observer of this forum for past few days. First of all, my congratulations for those who made it to ISB. For others, I know it will be a tough feeling, but, "You got great profiles, greater opportunities must be waiting for you in future!". I got the holy mail on 20th night! I just descended from moon!

I must tell that "This group is just terrific". Be it in sharing happy moments or sharing tough feelings and moments of anxiety, this group rocks. I regret missing crucial part of discussions. Still, better late than never!!

Will be very much available for providing suggestions to R2 people. Here is my brief profile.

Acad: Great( BE (Mech) CEG, Guindy, cpi - 9, M Tech, IIT B, cpi 9.97, outstanding student,bla bla..)
WE: 3y 9M as on joining. GE Energy, New product development
GMAT: 700/5.5 (Not so great!!!)
EC: Good
Interview experience: Stress!!!

If your Yahoo group membership is still pending check if its subscribed to the correct one isb-classof2010@yahoogroups.com and not the defunct one ISB_Class_of_2010

post one (the final decided one) and then we can subscribe to it..
