Yeah, I said something and the other guys thought that I was questioning their drinking ability. And man, did I get nasty looks, specially from mrc

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 23-11-2008, 10:53 AM

Yet another post with my stats...

I would like to thank everyone for having participated actively..
Did some manual collation of results published till now.. (excuse me for any mistakes arising out of this)

The most interesting thing is that we hve more than 100 Admits reported in this forum (Through spreadsheets + posts here).
100 R1 Admits - a sizeable number -- around 1/3 .
This is great ... A good starting point for our teaming up prior to joining school..

Number of Puys reporting Admits ~ 103
Puys whose profile has been updated in the spreadsheet ~ 80
GMAT scores reported ~ 96

Captured few details of Puys who have got admits, but have not posted their profile the database here
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...A7en4pHQ&gid=1

I have seen some querries regarding GMAT score in the past few pages:
Out of the 96 scores reported by Admits..
Breakup is like this
650 - 690 : 12
700 - 740 : 57
750 - 770 : 27
Take this data with a pinch of salt.. The list seems to be dominated by people from engineering background..

Others interested in further research based on City/ UG degree / college etc.. can downlod the excelsheet and do the analysis themselves.
R2 applicants, You can use this sheet to get a sense of the peer group.

Request everyone who haven't posted their profile to do so through the link below.
I might not be doing any manual updates regularly from now on.

This discussion has given me an idea for my new Status phrase...

BTW, When have these get togethers been planned.. Has it been done through PM's or has it been discussed in yahoogroups. Not that I would have come down to Hyd.. but just want to make sure I dont miss the Bangalore get together...

Hey Shruti...

preapre a list of questions that you might think you might be asked. Start with generic interviews (like job interviews etc) and slowly proceed towards ISB related ones.

and at each level, asnwer those questions in front of a mirror. Look at yourself talk, watch ur body language, your fillers like (ummm.. like.. basically.. ans other such) and keep iterating the answers till u like what you see in the mirror.

Plus if you are working in a company where you might have soft skills training.. try taking a course in soft skills like public speaking, communications.. these do help in fine tuning..

HTH.

Agreed..

My analysis was more academic in nature... It was more to address some of the apprehensions.

It targets R2 applications and qns which say do I have a chance with xyz score..

@mpallavi4,
Someone making in with low scores implies that they had very strong APPS

@R2 applicants,
All of u know whom to contact now..
Someone here has the key to the secret code...
