Will be really helpfull for R2 guys and ppl preparing for the next batches ...suggests everything from GMAT preparation to essay writing. People who get thru R1 can really discuss here about bank loans, laptops etc. with ISB alums from 2006-08 batches.

Also, apart from Alums even the adcom is participating here officially replying to the queries.

Smiles,
Excuse me while I hurl...

Where did you read/come to know that this website is launched by ISB alumni?

"Will be really helpfull for R2 guys and ppl preparing for the next batches..."

"A great non-profit initiative by ISB Alums..."

What's the source of above information? If at all, the alumni behind this website has to be the same alumni that those essay-'writing' service providers peddle all over. In other words, nobody knows who this alumni is.

Questions:

1. Can you or anyone here find any information about who are the 'actual' guys behind this website? Dammitt, even their 'Contact us' page has nothing but a web form, and there's no About page.

2. 'Ads from Google'- Fine, if we can't find another way to make money, we'll run a scam website and profit from Google ads. Dude, this is the lousiest way to make pennies off the Internet, when did ISB alumni had to resort to such tricks? Can't they even find a simple sales job at the local credit card company which would pay them many thousand bucks over?

3. How are you related to Raghvendra/Rangnath?

Guys, sorry to poop the spammer's party- but this site is at best a wannabe pagalguy for ISB, and at worst a hilarious attempt at scam. Stay away.

Whoa! My 'example' stands corrected, .............and now I'm sure McKinsey USA won't pick any ISBians next year..........

Serves me right for asking a guy with 3 US patents and 7 published papers to "do the math". That was a general comment by the way, and not meant to offend.:rockedov:

I was just putting forward a vaguely optimistic view, that maybe, just maybe, ISBians would be more cost-effective choices for future global firms' recruitments when compared to Kellogg/Wharton, which are ISB's associate schools. And like I said, the support for my argument can only come from this year's Intl placements.

Dude, always watch your sources. That's what they teach as the #1 lesson in dealing with media (newspapers, Internet, blogs, TV etc.) How come you are abandoning all trust and faith in what the actual Admissions Committee posted here at pagalguy(that it's indeed ISB AdCom is well-verified by many callers to ISB) and choosing to believe some random website- which by the way has misleading promotion as the only thing going for it?

Somedays back, someone here had posted links to a few newspaper clippings to show media support for an essay-writing website. Those were advertorials, in other words, purchased articles in the newspaper. You can ask your doodhwala to start an IT consulting firm tomorrow and I'll get him interviewed by most leading papers/TV channels in India, just be prepared to shell out multi-thousands. The sad truth about all media is that it is difficult to distinguish what to trust and what to discount, and to what extent.

When I have time, I'll put together a slideshare presentation on dos and dont's of consuming media. Believe me, it'll change your perspective. And in the meanwhile, if you do want to surf somewhere useful, try www.slideshare.net (it's to presentation slides what youtube is to videos).

Cheers!

i absolutely dont think so.. adcom has categorically mentioned that the results will be out on 20th, on the other PG thread. they have no reason to renege back on that..u could have said that they can announce results early if they finish finalizing results early.. but again this is not the case. results have already been decided as discussed earlier on this thread.. so i think the results will be out on 20th itself

Just an addition - The ASK ISB AdCOm thread is mentioned on the isb website itself.
