Just an addition - The ASK ISB AdCOm thread is mentioned on the isb website itself.
quote=redh0rn;1277116]Dude, always watch your sources. That's what they teach as the #1 lesson in dealing with media (newspapers, Internet, blogs, TV etc.) How come you are abandoning all trust and faith in what the actual Admissions Committee posted here at pagalguy
(that it's indeed ISB AdCom is well-verified by many callers to ISB) and choosing to believe some random website- which by the way has misleading promotion as the only thing going for it?
Somedays back, someone here had posted links to a few newspaper clippings to show media support for an essay-writing website. Those were advertorials, in other words, purchased articles in the newspaper. You can ask your doodhwala to start an IT consulting firm tomorrow and I'll get him interviewed by most leading papers/TV channels in India, just be prepared to shell out multi-thousands. The sad truth about all media is that it is difficult to distinguish what to trust and what to discount, and to what extent.
When I have time, I'll put together a slideshare presentation on dos and dont's of consuming media. Believe me, it'll change your perspective. And in the meanwhile, if you do want to surf somewhere useful, try
www.slideshare.net (it's to presentation slides what youtube is to videos).
Cheers![/quote]
