Well, I will have to disagree with you all here! I might call the admissions office to find out wht happened to the app site. It is a genuine query. I will of course not ask her abt the results till the end of the conversation, and to be safe I will use a safe name (such as simz)

Guys,

No doubt that the results are being entered.

1. High load can bring the server down, but cannot respond with an invalid login. Here, the scripts(as ps1234 pointed out) has been deliberately brought down.

2. The section of the page where our results will be declared is database-driven. The inhouse IT folks are updating the corresponding table as we speak. (Makes sense...IT guys are used to staying up the whole night to meet deadlines.)

3. When this job is complete, a batch job that sends emails would run based on the application status. Also, the scripts would be enabled simultaneously.

So...folks...you can expect it any time now...!!

Ha ha ....

but i guess it might be coming up pretty soon .... am thinking its not a good thing for international candidates and people who are not on this forum, they might not like the idea of not getting into the application, and its not a good sign for ISB too not having the application available, as even creating a new login is not possible right now ..... many R2 folks will be stranded right now.

With some folks having some knowledge here, any idea on how long it should take to just update the status for 2000+ applicants? Looking at the posts, it seems to have been down for about 5 hours now...

What if their system is broken and they are trying to fix it overnight, so thought of freezing the login page till then .....

whoa!!!!!! i guess this latest theory will surpass the narnikil ones:-x.... i was lucky to have slept early last night or else i would have looked for cofee shops all through out the night!!!

BTW this was not the case with previous years...i have checked the previous yr pages and no one mentioned anything about the server down thing before the results!!!!

May be we are again reading TOO much between the lines (as suggested by adcom )

I am just hoping that we get the results soon! I have an early morning meeting at 6.30 am CT. Will have to sleep early and will not be able to go to bed with all these rumours going around.

PS: I am not expecting a positive result.
