ISB surely looks for diversity.

I can dissect your this post and give fitting reply for a lot of your statement, but won't go into a game of potshots now. They drag on, become personal and then the purpose gets lost. Your post anyway says a lot about your maturity and way of expression.

My "blabber" (as you put it) was not directed at anybody in particular but at everybody who make big fuss about this "IT needs 750+" syndrome.

Glad that people here agree it is not correct. That was my whole objective- people who come to this forum should not get a wrong picture.

P.S. Please reflect on your last line once. Not for my sake. For yours.

P_jez,

I know and understand that this was derived from historic data. However, the 8:1 ratio is still a good indicator because as per adcom they have received around 2000 applications for Round 1 and assuming that Round 2 will have 2500-3000 applications, the ratio works out between 8 and 9.

This time around you have to consider not only the increased applicant pool, but also the increase in the no of seats. So not sure how it will work out!

Cheers

Guys.. Ye kya ho raha hai.. Kal se dekh raha hoon ki bhai bhai mein ladai jhagda chal raha hai.. Lets just get on with this.. Now we all agree that there we can utilize our energies and discuss more important things.. Dont we ..

For a start, did anybody notice that in one of the previous posts somebody mentioned that a lady with a 640 in GMAT and 2 years workex got a call.. Interesting i say.. So GMAT is not the big demon afterall..

fake paintings had nothing to do with my exp...it was just a figment of their imagination to complicate things...also they tried to corner me on the nuances of art market..how corporates and hotels are also a big segment ( i took only art gallery) and how calcutta has so many art lovers (i took delhi/mumbai HNIs)...mayb to confuse me or so themselves were lost as to what they were trying to test...art market knowledge or analytical/logical reasoning

I would assume its the latter since i m an engineer working in the marketing analytics industry for the last 1 yr

I am trying to figure out whether 'reject' mails are actually sent for mumbai candidates.

If not, then the speculation of waiting list is absurd! I doubt this coz there are quite number of ppl out here from mumbai who havnt heard from isb... I being one of them!!:frown:

Thanks for the reply... I don't see a point with the question. Anyway I guess since you did a good job with preliminary segmentation that adds value to the solution.
