Congrats to all the IV call getters in Mumbai..
I had my interview today
Panel : Ankit (alum) V K Menon (all know who he is)

A funny thing happened... i met Mr. menon in the rest room and he asked me how many interviews have u done ? i was shocked and scared to death ... i thot today the panel will be taking multiple rounds of interview
I told him that I am waiting for the first one... :yell:
He mistook me for ISB alum taking IVs in other panel ... wat a first impression that too in a rest room..
niways... my IV experience ....

AK : Related to my work
Me : Blah blah...I don't think he understood any of it as I work in R&D in a high tech company.
AK : tell us about any decision which lead to failure..
Me: Have faced such situation in my career... so went round and round about it... and finally said "Sir I dont think I answered ur question"
Ak : Nodded and asked me to determine market size of mineral water...
Me : Did some preliminary analysis and blurted out whatever I could gather in 1 min...
Menon (VM) : Till this time I was looking at my profile.. and suddenly asked me about my leisure activities...
Me: told... no further Qs on this
VM : You play cricket. Tell me how we can beat australia
Me : Short term ... play on spinning tracks in India... long term ... groom young players
VM : not impressed... asked me whoz the spinner in Australia team on this tour
Me : no specialized spinner... didnt follow cricket well.
VM : that will be all
Me : Asked a couple of Qs

(20 - 25 min )

Don't have a good feeling about my interview... Good Bye ISB !

hi guys!

i had my interview today! went alright but like the others i too am not sure how good/bad it was.. they asked me stuff like..

1. A lot of questions about my work and the challenges at work
2. I know french so the woman in the panel knew french so she asked somethings in french - some i wasnt able to answer, the others i did..
3. they asked me why mba? i told them stuff and also my future plans
4. they asked me what i was carrying in my folder - i answered!
5. stuff on extra curriculars, other involvements
6. questions for us?

overall - like everyone has already said.. the interview was more like a conversation than an interrogation.. which makes it even more difficult to gauge how i did!

for the interviewees to follow.. do not worry about the atmosphere or anything.. just prepare ur answers for the normal questions and be prepared for a lot of cross questioning..
their questions will not sound very difficult to answer, but will be very purposeful so be alert..

Hoping and Praying for the best.. :-)
