Mr. Nikki ,
Just an advice,First gather some info like, what are the admission deadlines for Isb , then try look at the application procedure (you will find lot of discussion groups for this).
Then you can assess yourself for the time required .
Gather as much info as you can like avg GMAT scores, avg work exp ,some interview expereinces.
It will help you a lot , because you need to put lot of effort in completing your application . Hence dont be in a hurry to get some tentative date from members here and take GMAT ,then apply for ISB . If not this year you can apply next year ..

To start off just know about GMAT , assess your self, how much time you require to get a best score (say 700) ..once you take GMAT , then you can work on the application.
By june/July , if you are ready with a excellent GMAT score that will help you in applying for round1 or 2.

cheers,
Kris

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 08-04-2008, 05:58 PM

Hello All,

well, as everyone ou here said, I am an ISB 2009-10 class aspirant too. I have not yet started by GMAT prep but hope to start around in May and give my test by end of June or mid July.

My Profile:

X - 79%
+2 - 65%
BCA - 75%
MS in SW Eng - 6.3 CGPA

Coming to my Work Ex- Have been with an IT Comp for 4 years as a part of the course mentioned above. I have been into multiple roles - Support Analyst, Module Lead, Team Lead, Quality Coordinator, Project Lead, Systems Analyst and Business Analyst. At present I am working for a consulting company as a Consultant in a particualr area.

I have been on international assignments for about 7-8 months. So that forms my Internatioanal Experience.

Coming to my extra curriculars, havent really been active in school and college. But was a part of out cultural activities group within my community and invovled in lot of social activities.

At work, invovled in orgnising lot of events and parties etc.

Addtional things --> Have done a crash course in portugese (15 days )
--> Been awarded best debutant and many other awards at work.

The biggest question I have in my mind is , Will my 4 yrs of Work-ex during study be considered by ISB? and second one is , How strong does my profile sound in your view?

Thx a lot

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 09-04-2008, 07:28 PM

Hello friends,

I m also aiming ISB…. I am writing GMAT in MAY..
These days.. just busy with prep…. Not sure about the final score.. but I have some time left for preparation…
Well I took 3 mocks…. The very first was KAPLAN test 1… got 540…. Than took some Arccco test.. got 630….. Than took one of the GMAT Prep (which we dwnld from mba.com)… got 710….
This English wala part is killing me…. Specially SC.. well working on it…

Here goes my profile otherwise..

I am working in an IT firm (Has a decent brand value)… and would be having almost 3 years of ex when session starts at ISB. Mmm.. I am going to be promoted as the Team lead of my Project in 2 months..
Acads were not so gud… just avg. Done B.E from NSIT delhi
Extra Curricular: well I believe I have some… I was the president of SAE NSIT chapter..
I have done a lot of Theatre in college infact won many awards…
Well I have also started a Theatre group (with 3 other friends) and have generated Revenues and paid entertainment tax (eeeee). BTW its name is “Right Click Entertainment:unhappy:” (You can call me an entrepreneur as well.. hehe).. I am counting a lot on this part of my application…
Have done a little bit of social work as well…

Don’t know whether my profile will fetch me an admit or not but I am going to give it a shot…… Specially ISB…..

Suggestions are welcomed and comments are most welcomed.

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 10-04-2008, 10:00 AM

Hi All Aspirants,

Am one of the aspirants of ISB-PGP ..
Daily I look @ the main gate of ISB and get excited to get into those gates one fine day !!! (Well, i work for an IT company which is near by ISB,hyderabad)

My profile is little different.

B.E - 2004 passout
MBA - 2006 passout

with 0yrs of exp , i was offered a ANalyst post in a BPO for a 4 figure salary, which I could not digest, so moved to IT industry to start a good career, but settled down in a entry level techie job .

Now am looking for a serious change and so planned to take up PGP @ ISB.....

Thus, looking into these posts and replying them...

Hope we'll meet one day in person

Do share the info in this forum and enrich us with knowledge

All the best folks

Thanks & Regards,
ARN
