Employment opportunities in Australia

well i went for a couple of Australian unv fair and there were some unv wherein i could get in admissions easily after ma grad.but the problem is about the employment after grad.Does Australia have good employment opportunities. coz as far as i know Australia is a small country so that means less opportunities.
Does any1 know about the work permit and the chances of getting a PR?
