Hi Avernus,
Q)As an international applicant who needs scholarship would i better off applying for the Jan intake??
A) Applying in the earlier rounds gives you an advantage in terms of scholarships.
There is a difference between the january and september intakes which rahul has mentioned
in detail on this thread. check that out before deciding on which entry you want to apply to
Q)I hear that HEC places a lot of emphasis on Interantional Work ex prior to the program, wud I meet those requrirements??
A)I think you would meet those requirements. International experience doesn't necessarily mean having worked and lived abroad for extended periods of time. It can be short trips abroad as well. Checkout the average experience, age and GMAT scores. If you are close to them, then you have a reasonable chance. Asking the admissions would not hurt either. In the end admissions will judge you not on your profile, but on the strength of your applications.
Q)How quickly are people able to recover the money invested in the program??
A)Don't think of the MBA investment purely in short term economic terms as to how much money
you are investing and how many years it will take to earn it back. That is an important consideration but think what it will do to your career in the long term. Better international exposure, higher job profile and yes you will recover the investment if you go to any of the top MBA schools. You can checkout the forbes Return on investment calculator here -
