Hi

One query i have ...
The mail from HEC mentions the following

"Please note, to avoid repetition, your presentation should not contain
information already provided in your application. Your interviewers will
have already read your application."

So the presentation i prepare-- does it have to be radically different from my essays ? Do I need to take a completely new topic here?

Shine12,

You don't have to pick a radically new topic. For my interview presentation,
I picked a topic which I had briefly touched upon in my application essays. Just make sure that you have a different story to tell about the topic than what you had written in your essays. All they want is not to repeat the same material and stories from your essays.

Good Luck,
Wizard

Tahseen,

can you elaborate on your question? I am not clear as to what you are comparing the HEC program to.

cheers,
Wizard

Re: HEC-Paris MBA - 30-10-2009, 11:36 PM

Hey guys!! I had applied for the January 2010 intake and got my interview call on October 21st, but haven't received any details yet about my interviewers. Anyone got any tips for me for the interviews?

I am also slightly concerned about the interview scheduling. Although my first choice locations are all in India, I might have to interview with HEC alumni in the US because I am going on a business trip there from November 5th to 23rd. I have notified HEC's Admissions Office about this already and requested them to work around my dates. Does anyone know how accomodating the Adcom will be in this regard?

My gut feeling keeps telling me that the timing of this business trip might work against me. What do you guys think?

It will be not be a problem. Adcom at HEC will try its best to accommodate their request and this thing should not go against you.

Hey Wizardoft,

I am still a little in dilemma about the topic for presentation...

Should i present something from my work persepective - lets say i have done something good in my work...

Or from my personal life - my specific interest in any area.....
Or - my learnings from a particular experience

Not sure which one will be more impactful.......

I know i am being a little more specific on the question :(, but would be great if you can throw some light on these lines........

I have the interview over the weekend!!!

Cheers

Hi Shine,

Very sorry that I have not been able to respond to your question. I was travelling and away from my email. How did the interviews go?

Cheers,
Wizard
