Hi jomster,
I have an admit for the Sep 08 at Dubai campus.
I want to know about the possible career opportunities after the course.
The economic slowdown is adding to the confusion!
R u also taking Dubai?
Shaaz.

Dear Jomster,
Sorry for the delay. I was on business.
One cohort is already full! We have recieved many applications thus far.We are very popular simply because no one delivers an international top ranked U.S.MBA in one year in this region.
Thank you,
Tate Jones

Hello Shaaz,
First of all congratulations on your recent acceptance.
Hult’s corporate development team has already begun developing relationships with organizations, identifying recruitment opportunities and gathering industry updates for the region. Our Dubai based Corporate Development staff are meeting with recruiters and hiring managers (multinationals & local firms) across the region to ensure that Hult graduates have access to employment opportunities in the region in 2009.All relevant career fairs in DKV and DIAC, will be attended by Hult Career Development staff to develop and deepen contacts, and recruiters at the fair would be able to consider suitable students for roles by referring to the CV book or the online database of student resumes. Understanding that recruitment opportunities happen throughout the year, both Career Services and Corporate Development will endeavor to keep students informed, updated, and in contact with hiring firms. We will do this by offering access to Virtual Career Fairs (see: MBA-Exchange bi-annual Global MBA Virtual Career Fair), posting job opportunities and contacts via our careers website, and working with faculty and administration to allow you time off to attend important recruitment events (case-by-case). Students from both campuses are assisted by the Career Service Centers on each campus on career management; any recruitment opportunities that are surfaced by the team from the various centers would be open for application by all suitable students. There are a number of ways to pursue job opportunities in the US:
MBA Career Fairs: There are a number of MBA specific career fairs held in Boston and the US that students will have access to (and be invited to).
Corporate Events and Job Postings: Corporate Development organizes a number of corporate events (Executive Speaker Series, corporate presentations, etc) that will offer students access to jobs in the local and national arena.
Thank you,
Tate Jones

Dear Adcom
I have a question regarding the visa issue esp at the hult USA campus
I am an international student
This years students will graduate in Aug 2009
They will then go on OPT visa which will be valid till July 2010
But they can work on H1B visa in USA only in Oct 2010
This means that students cannot work in USA in Aug 2010 and Sept 2010
What should we do about this case?
How does the school and / or students tackle this OPT gap?
As you know , jobs in US for international students is hard to find and on top of this , if such issue happens , then we are afraid to apply for MBA at Hult or for that matter at other business schools
Please help
Thanks a ton
Best

Dear Tate,
Thank you very much for this information.
I had met Pallavi Keshri while she was here in Bangalore on 15th March 2008.
She informed me about the financial aid package that has been approved for me.But I requested her to reconsider the situation as it would be difficult for me to arrange a huge amount from India.
I was told that I would receive an e-mail detailing the aid and then to find out if anything more could be done about it. But I have not received any communication regarding the same. I understand that Pallavi is a little preoccupied with a lot of admission matters and it is difficult for her to follow-up with every Hult aspirant.( All credit to her for taking time out of busy schedule to discuss certain important clarifications with her!)
I had also informed her that I could decide on acceptance of admission (and payment of the deposit amount) only after a final decision whatsoever is intimated.
Since the last date for the payment of the deposit fee is fast approaching I request you to follow it up with her and let me know.
Seeking your kind cooperation,
Shaaz.

Hello!
Students can apply for OPT to start up to 60 days from graduation. For example, if you graduate on Aug 22, you can start the OPT on October 21 and the OPT will be valid for 12 months which eliminates the gap. You can use up to 60 days to do your job search, travel withing U.S. etc.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Tate
