I expect much more competition then what currently was. Please go through the CAT bulletin. Its freely downloadable from www.catiim.in. It has complete information about the course. Also the info will be available on the website.
Your experience is very good. However, your GMAT is on the lower side. Its extremely difficult for me to predict. But looking at what other IIMs have for PGPX's, I think you need to have a GMAT score of @ 700 for a sure chance of an interview call. Did you get interview calls from A/C/L?
Cheers!

HSR, what your batch thinks about it? Also I believe there is no change in course content apart from the newly introduced international module. Can you also give details on this?
Once again thanks for your information on this thread. Keep the good news flowing | Hi,
Its the same course structured differently. Everything is almost the same. We are very happy with this and I am sure, it will add value to each one of the batch, 2009 as well as yours.
Industry views what is shown to them. So, all is in our hands, how we market and position ourselves!

Let me tell you the off campus component is as rigorous as the campus component. You will be doing projects and field studies on whatever you did on the campus before you return back to the campus. Indeed, this is something that each one of us cherishes, although we had apprehensions when we started.
IIM accepts CAT score and GMAT score for admission to this course. But as you already know, the scores are not the only criteria for admission.A high score does not necessarily mean admission.Your score in GMAT translates to @ 90 percentile. Trust me IIM should have a fool proof mechanism in place to ensure that students with GMAT and CAT scores are treated alike.

Hi,
There are number of emails that I have received enquiring about the availability of the EXPGP form at the website.
I think, if you read the CAT bulletin carefully, you will come to know that the EXPGP forms will be available only after 1st August 2008. That will be the time when the details of the course will also be updated.
Keep watching the website for details and for more details please read the CAT bulletin carefully.
Thanks

Hi All,
The website has been updated with the latest information about the course. However, the brochure and the appilcation form is still not there. I have been told by the ADCOM ,that the delay has been due to administrative reasons and they will be getting things on track asap.
Students can visit the following link for the latest on 1 year Full time EXPGP at IIM Indore. Indian Institute of Management Indore - Ex-PGP
Thanks,

Hi,
I visited the website of IIM indore. There is Exe-PGP and Ex-PGP, the first 18 months and the second one 12 months. The fee for the first one is Rs.5.5 Lakhs and the fee for the second one is Rs.11 lakhs.
I am a bit confused; is this full time programme more like IIMA PGP-X and ISB one-year programme, where the participants are expected to have classes every day and spend full time on studies or is it more like the IIMI 18-month Exe-PGP, where the participants come for about 18 days in a term of about 3 months and then they can go back and continue to work in their jobs and also simultaneously do inter-modular work, during the rest of the period?
If it is more like Exe-PGP of IIMI, then why such a differential fee; why 5.5 lakhs for 6 terms and 11 Lakhs for 4-terms?
Does the international component cost so much that the fee is so high?
if this is intended to be on par with IIMA PGP-X, ISB one-year PGDM, then, if it follows the modular curriculum design of Exe-PGP of IIMI, won't this kind of modular design be disadvantageous compared to the really full-time programme?
If it is a modular design similar to EXE-PGP, then I am not sure whether the industry will receive it on par with other fully full time programmes!
I hope this issue can be clarified.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The CAT bulletin says the Ex-PGP (the new 12-month course) replaces the old 18-month course. So, part of my doubt is clarified: there won't be 2 programmes concurrently; so, 2008-10 Exe-PGP may be the last time, this will be offered in the current 18-month format.
But what is still unclear is, is the new 12-month programme fully full-time programme like IIMA-PGP-X and ISB PGDM or is it going to be old wine in a new bottle- a truncated EXE-PGP with a modular structure and flying visits to IIM Indore campus, twice in a term for about 9 days each, with inter-modular work?

Till HSR gets back to you, I can reply to your second question. The program for 2009 batch will be a full time residential program. It won't be a truncated EXE-PGP program. There won't be a concept of on-campus and off-campus days. You need to be on IIM-I campus for the full duration. So then the course design becomes very much like IIM A PGPX or ISB PGDM. I will now let HSR take over. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to suds For This Useful Post: | | | | | |

Hi suds,
Thanks a lot for your clarification.
I wasn't sure of the fully full-time nature of EX-PGP, because their website doesn't clearly state this point unambigously; this doubt would not have come to me except for the fact that their Exe-PGP had this on-campus- off campus model and some where in this thread it was mentioned that, the new 12-month programme will be similar to the EXE-PGP, the existing 18-month programme.
Are you a current student of EXE-PGP @ IIMI? is this information from a reliable source?
Thanks a lot once again. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
