Yes, SBI sends loans directly to IIM and the service is simply fantastic! I have already said in my posts earlier, that SBI service at IIM Indore campus is simply awesome. The staff and the manager go out of the way to help students out! Its extremely rare to find such service at any bank in India. Rest assure, its their job and they do it extremely well!

Leaving Job:

There are few who have and others may be. But in my opinion, try to extend as far as possible. It may not be an excellent idea to leave your job right in the begining only. I would recommend you to think of doing that @ 4 th semester or later,when the electives start or whenever you feel that its not working for you doing both things simultaneously. However, this is a general advise, it all depends upon an individual. There are many who do not leave their jobs at all, some do not work at all and some work few months during the course. It has been like this for other past batches as well.All depends upon your circumstances and affordability.

If you are not employed at the time of registration, you will be required to give an undertaking stating the facts. No problems on that front at all.

If you move to Indore, you may not get hostel accomodation for the entire duration. You can use all other resources of the institute whenever you feel like.The best would be to get a job in Indore. If you come from IT backgrnd you can try few companies out there.

If you are not working that is fine for the projects. You can take any organisation for that matter, whether your own or outside,it hardly matters!

I had speed-post the consent letter and draft to IIM office on 31st May. I haven't received any further communication so far. I had also mailed the admission office on 3rd June saying that I have dispatched the required documents.

Should I call up the admission office or wait for some more time?
I think some guys have already received formats for NOC etc.

and at what ROI they are offering the loan/how much is EMI
for the stipulated amount for the respective number of months.
