IIM Indore EXPGP Interview and Beyond

First of all I would recommend that please take things easy. Perhaps,your two failures have made you jittery, so far as interview is concerned. The interview here will be different from what a PGP aspirant can expect. You should concenterate on your work ex and skills that you feel you have acquired over the years. Also do mention that you are serious to do the course.Apart from that keep yourselves aware of whatever is happening around you. I think if you read newspaper that is all will be required. I think interview will be similar to what you experinced at IIMA for PGPX minus the presentation part.

Hi Rahul,

Please go through earlier posts. I have clearly mentioned this is a course in general managment and students have ample choices to move from one line to another.. However, I cannot answer your specific question, whether you can move into consulting. Moving into consulting depends upon many factors an MBA from IIM cannot gurantee you that, though it increases the chances.I would advise you to go through some consulting sites and see what they look for in candidates and how they hire.

For consulting firms visiting IIM I campus, yes they do come in large numbers and all big names are there. Please look at IIM I website under campus placement, you will find all the names and data there.

I have applied for this course. I have a GMAT score of 700. I believe the IIM was waiting for the CAT result ,to send interview calls for this course.However, till today there is no sign of any shortlist available on the institute's pages. Can you tell me when the list will be out ?

Do we have interview along with regular PGP applicants or there is a separate board for EXPGP?

The list should be out by mid week of Feb. Please continue visiting the website for the EXEPGP shortlist for 2008-2010 batch.

Interviews will be held during the same time as they will be held for PGP and probably the board will be the same. However, EXPGP prospects do not undergo GD and interview is different for what is for a PGP prospect.Its more about the work experience, learnings etc.

Please go thorough the epgp curriculum on the website . You will get broad idea of the courses offered.

Yes, you can do finance and or strategy by selecting electives in your last 2 terms.

I will write down the list of electives once i conform it.
