Congratuations on that!

Dude, I've a 610 and almost 2-years work-experience by June 2008. What do you think, would I be considered?

I've already applied for the 15-month MBA Program...

Hi dhawal,
The 15-month MBA program needs 3 years of full time work experience. As far as I know the admissions committee sticks to the basic requirements for reviewing applications.Your GMAT score is good but if you want to apply for scholarships then I would advice you to take it again. The office of admissions is very friendly and very co-operative.You said you have two years of work experience, can you tell me in which field you working in because if you are working in a non-IT sector then your application will be strong and your application will stand apart from the rest of the Indian applicants with a IT background.WHy dont you talk to Kathy Holland of the admissions office and ask her about the work experience requirements?? Your GMAT is good enough to get you in especially if you have applied early.Let me know about the status of your application.

Regards
Raj

Hi Raj,

I've spoken to Kathy about this already and she said that they would not eliminate applications for the 15 month program and would consider students of 2-years expererience. But, when asked about this initially, she did mention that it is meant for applicants with 3-years work-experience.

Thus, it is a risk that I'm taking while applying for the 15-month MBA. Although, do I need to apply for the 2-year MBA Program separately, or do they evaluate my application for the same if they do not put me in the 1-year MBA Program?

Do you think I should notify them about my interest in the 2-year program if I were not to get into the 1-year program?

My Work-experience is in the field of Web-services and Online Marketing but I've graduated with a degree in Management (Bachelors in Management Studies). I currently run a full-time consultancy in the field. Earlier, I was a business development specialist at an Internet Solutions company.

Hi Dhawal,
Well, I dont think your one-year MBA application will be sufficient for the 2 year MBA program.I guess you have to fill in a separate application for the 2 yr program.I am also not sure whether you will have chances for the 2 yr program if u get rejected for the 1 yr program. But I suggest you talk to Kathy about this and get her opinion as she will tell you exactly the procedure to apply for the 2 yr program. When are you expecting your admission decision?? Try being stubborn on getting a decision early beacuse then you will have time to think about the next move.

My mail ID is and my number is

Let me know if anything else is required. All the best!!

Regards
Raj
