and do u send the application before u take the test or after?? | For someone who has prepared for CAT or XAT seriously, SPJAT will be in the comfort zone ( ...my opinion cause i found it easy ) also since SPJAT does not have sectional cutoff, one has the advantage to exploit the strengths. Refer to any post by Anees, his signature gives the format of the test
They consider the best score, i think they treat all of the tests equally no favs..(GMAT/CAT/SPJAT) that is what it looks like when i referred to their website
I applied 1 month before even i got the a score ( assuming XAT scores were accepted cause the day i wrote XAT i was sure it was better than CAT). But currently my appln is in the wait state, it will move to next stage after the results are announced for SPJAT - feb 02.(do i sound over confident ) If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can't, you're right.

But I havent received any confirmation about the same. Is there anything I need to do to get evaluation rescheduled apart from sending email? Tentatively when would be next stage of evaluation so that I can plan for it?
Also, do I need to send Rs.2500 now or it can be sent later?
I have sent PM to rutty as well.
If anyone has any info on this process of rescheduling please let me know.
Thanks | First of all Congrats ..!!!! It’s sufficient to send the mail, they will intimate (email) you about the next evaluation date. So not to worry. U may call the admission office to confirm the same for your satisfaction. I believe U need not pay the evaluation fee now, but plz confirm it once from admssion office. P.S: Guys was a bit occupied so could not get back on time..

Regarding the test, for all who will be appearing in next one.
Here is a brief on the test. The test had : SECTIONS
1. Digramatic interpretation - 8 Questions
2. Critical Reasoning - 6 Questions
3. IQ - 5 Questions
4. Numerics (Mats & DI) - 9 (3 DI) Questions
5. GK - 11 Questions
6. Reading Comprehension - 5 Questions TOTAL 44 Questions
Overall the test seems to be easy. Pick up the right questions and as there is no sectional cut off don't stick to one particular section.
The mistake i made was i took up RC before Numerics, and the RC passage being arbit took a lot of time.
I really don't have any idea about the cut off!
Good luck to all who will be appearing the next test, for guy's who gave the test today put in the no. of attempts you made so a rough estimate can be made.
Cheers,
Rich. |

CAT : 96.09 %
X : 81
XII : 86
B-Tech : 76.34
Extra curricular not great | Hi srikant
Waitlist gets reviewd time to time , and there is good chance of ppl moving from Waitlist to being called for GD/PI.
U have good percentile and your acads look fine as well, Now why you have been put on waitlist could be either you have NO or very less experience Or you have applied to the specz different from your current job profile.
It would be nice if you can put down complete profile. It will help us to analyze better rather than to do a guess work..
Wish you all the best...

Hi Anees,
I had applied for the GMBA programme(May 2008 intake) on the 11'th of january. My application status is waitlisted. I have 84.83(oa) percentile in CAT with di/lr - 87.5, qa - 71.24, eng - 71.4
I am about to take GMAT on the 27'th feb, however, due to certain reasons I will have to postpone it. My query is that can I remove the GMAT exam entry from my application form?? Will this affect my admission chances..I have already cleared the CAT cutoff...

and do u send the application before u take the test or after?? | Hi Sandeep You definitely stand a chance, application for Spjain Dubai/Singapore are viewed separately from Spjain mumbai. XAT scores won’t be accepted from now on. Your CAT score is crossing the Cutoff limit ( 80% for CAT). However you can give SPJAT to improve on the same. There is no such preference given to any score. All are treated at Par. You can send the appln now and send the score later, mind you your appln won’t be reviewed till you submit your score. Now if I was you. I will submit the appln with the Current CAT score and wait to see if i get shortlisted. In case i do , i need not give SPJAT, In case i don’t , i ill appear in SPJAT and Update the SPjain about the same to see if that will help my appln. Just to add, you ill see a lot of applicants right on this thread, who in spite of having Scores like 96+ % are waitlisted. So this goes to show, It’s not just the score that matters, Its your profile in entirety that matters the most. If you think you make a strong/balanced overall profile (Score+ Acads+ Work X+ Extracurricular). Than your 83% is good enough score. Hope this gives you some cue.!!! All the best.
