SP Jain (Singapore/Dubai) GMBA - JUNE 2008 Intake

Hi,

I started filling my application form but when i tried saving my details in the first page its giving the following error and the data is not getting saved properly

Error
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'
Expected statement
/admission_form_personal_prc.asp, line 90
end if
^

Please advice how i need to proceed or is this error happening for all ppl today?

I have sent a mail to the admission committee also regarding this..

Negative marking was there and this test is an Online test with each section being timed( as soon the time is over for that section , u will automatically be directed to the next section)

Further there were some questions on digramatic reasoning,such questions we get to see in Maharastra CET or Bank PO exams...!!

A score of 80%(SPJAT) and above is good( that will keep you competitive), Well i have seen people getting calls at 74%( SPJAT) as well but such people had a strong profile.

Now the exam is not a difficult one to crack , If one has prepared for exams like CAT, XAT , than SPJAT should be very easy.

However one must take care of Critical Reasoning( similar to GMAT pattern) and digramatic reasoning( can refer Mahrastra CET papers) sections.

SPJAT is usually held 2-3 times for each intake( for Jan intake it was held 3 times ) same might apply to June intake.


SP JAIN APTITUDE TEST FEB 2ND 2008 UPDATE INFO!!!!

This post is to answer all the queries and doubts that you may have regarding the SPJAT.

1. Firstly, it is a PAPER BASED test and not a computer based test as it was in the last intake.

2. The paper is divided into various sections which will be based on the areas that we test you on

3. Areas that we test you on would be broadly - Quantitative, Verbal, Logic, GK

4. The test is for ONE hour from 12 noon to 1 pm

5. Total marks - 100. There would be NEGATIVE MARKING and this would be taken into account while calculating your total score

6. There are NO SECTIONAL CUT OFFS - we expect your OVERALL SCORE to meet out cut off

when you say 80% u mean 80 marks out of 100?
dont u think its too much?
or are you talking about percentile??

thats what i was thinking.80% score seems too much.so that means 1 out of every 5 people who give spjat get a call...hmm....

Do any of you have an idea on when the results of the SPJAT will be put up which was conducted on 2nd feb?

do we have to check the website or will that be an email or a snail mail?

Hi Saptarshi,

I am also working in IBM. Work ex of 1.7 yrs. Well as far as MBA is concerned, it's only useful if you want a change in the job profile, assuming this is true, as far as I have researched abt SPJain Dxb/Spore, 1 yr program is a big advantage.
Since u already have work ex, placements are comparatively easier... also studying abroad is a good international exposure.

The domain is so vast that zeroing on sth particulat is difficult. So, Puys plz share your thoughts over this asap as I just ve a week time for preps. Also, I request all those who ve got a call in IB for 9th/10th Feb to come together n share our thoughts so that all of us can ripe benefits. For people who ve a call in some other domain I request you all as well to come togther n share our views on next round as thr is so much to prepare. No responses Puys? Anyways i still request all those u ve converted SPJCM in the past to share there experinces for 'PI' in particular. What kind of Qs are generally asked? What kind of expectations panel has from us? How much they drill u? What is the proportion of Qs on work-ex and the 'specialization' one opted for? I ve got call for IB so if someone can share info on that too it will be really helpful.

P.S. First round of GD/PI is due this weekend, so requesting u all a prompt reply.
