I have been shortlisted for evaluation process to be held in Mumbai on Feb 09/10, 2008.

However, I cant attend the same as I am travelling to client site in USA. I have sent an email about the same to gmba@spjain.org

But I havent received any confirmation about the same. Is there anything I need to do to get evaluation rescheduled apart from sending email? Tentatively when would be next stage of evaluation so that I can plan for it?

Also, do I need to send Rs.2500 now or it can be sent later?

I have sent PM to rutty as well.

If anyone has any info on this process of rescheduling please let me know.

I got a call from SPJCM for IB . My next round is schedule on 10th Feb @ 08:30 a.m.

A brief profile of mine:

B.Tech: NIT Rourkela (2005) - 71.1%
Std. XII: CBSE - 75.6%
Std. X: CBSE - 77.2%
CAT - 84%ile
Extra-curricular: Above Average marked by certifications and prizes won.
Work-ex: 32 Months (as of today) with wellknown US IT MNC.

Regarding the next process, the thing that is bothering me most is my switch from IT to Finance and Qs related to that in PI. For me. I have a keen interest in finance field n come from similar family background. Also, I have been throughout in Finance domain while at work. Now, this is a Q to all those who ve converted/got a nxt round call/currently studying/anyone who is interested in sharing his/her views - What kind of knowledge the PI panel expect from the aspirants in Finance field in general and 'IB' in particular. The domain is so vast that zeroing on sth particulat is difficult. So, Puys plz share your thoughts over this asap as I just ve a week time for preps. Also, I request all those who ve got a call in IB for 9th/10th Feb to come together n share our thoughts so that all of us can ripe benefits. For people who ve a call in some other domain I request you all as well to come togther n share our views on next round as thr is so much to prepare. Thanks to Anees for sharing the link for GD/PI round in his signature. Hoping for a good activity on this thread from now on.

Hi all,

I believe the results will be out in 7-10 days time, they will be either available on the website or shall be mailed to you personally.

Regarding the test, for all who will be appearing in next one.
Here is a brief on the test. The test had :

SECTIONS
1. Digramatic interpretation - 8 Questions
2. Critical Reasoning - 6 Questions
3. IQ - 5 Questions
4. Numerics (Mats & DI) - 9 (3 DI) Questions
5. GK - 11 Questions
6. Reading Comprehension - 5 Questions

TOTAL 44 Questions

Overall the test seems to be easy. Pick up the right questions and as there is no sectional cut off don't stick to one particular section.

The mistake i made was i took up RC before Numerics, and the RC passage being arbit took a lot of time.

I really don't have any idea about the cut off!

Good luck to all who will be appearing the next test, for guy's who gave the test today put in the no. of attempts you made so a rough estimate can be made.

I took the SPJAT at Mumbai today. The format was quite interesting. Just 44 questions adding up to 100 marks. The format is already posted in the previous post. Just wanted to add that The negative marking differed across the sections.

RC and Numerics had 3 marks per correct and -1 per wrong ans
Diagramatic and Critical Reasoning had 2 per correct and -.5 per wrong ans
The rest had one per correct and -.25 per wrong ans

No sectional timings with a total of 1 hr allotted time. The only disappointment for most candidates would be the GK section. Baring about 4-5 questions, the rest were totally unheard of. So that is a common aspect of everyone's performance and the remaining types being very answerable, it's difficult to predict cut-offs or individual percentiles.

A supervisor at the venue mentioned that the results will be mailed to each candidate on Monday by noon.

i am plannin to take d test nxt month, n i gess its scheduled for 31st march.. correct me if m wrong..
so i basically wntd to ask those who hav applied for d test, wat marks in CAT'07 wud suffice me for d call, such dat m not reqd to take d test?? i hav got 85.3 percentile in cat, so is it necessary for me to take d test, or cn i b judged on dese marks??
all dose who hav applied for d test, cn u plz telme wat wer ur scores in cat or gmat??
