Boston University Admit, 2008-10 -
15-12-2007, 01:05 PM
Hie...
Three great news within four days...this being the biggest...
I have been selected for an admit in BU with $70,000 scholarship. Hence, entire tution has been taken care of.
After a bad CAT (22 in Quant...yes Quant!!), I have the liberty to choose my options early.
Have to be interviewed at Lancaster and ISB. With Lancaster being in a not-so-job-friendly-state (UK) and with the will to have some international experience, I would probably choose BU...
Would like to know about others who have got an admit...n would also like to know if I can be of any help (only for application process....can't talk about school at length...he he he!!!) for puys aspiring to get into BU.
Thanks to PG and puys around...i've learnt a lot here...
Hope the good work continues...
Thanks & Regards,
Maxximus

Hi,
Though this is my first post in PG I have been a reader for quite long.
I had applied to Boston and interviewed in Mumbai on Dec 5.
Today I got a mail saying I have been waitlisted. i am at a loss here as to what went wrong as I thought I had a decent package. My Profile:
GMAT - 720(given in 2006)
TOEFL - 111(given in 2007)
Acads - Avg, BE Computers from Mumbai Univ
Extra Curriculars: Good
Exp - 3+ years as software engineer in a global giant, working on developing software products
Knowledge of spanish.
Could some 1 please give some clue about what could have gone wrong?
This especiallyu hurts since Boston was one of my safe schools and ISB has already dinged me.

Hey panks_R ,
Don't get disheartened. Even I am unable to figure out this entire process. Even I got a ding from ISB. They did not even bother to call me to interviews. Bus lage raho and one fine day, you will come out trumps. Analyze your essays a bit but don't get obsessed with it. remember Good things happen only when good times come
BTW , I have got an admit from Boston University with 100% schol and have made up my mind for it.
