Hey Naren,
Int was standard, I thought.
Tell me about yrself, why mba,why boston, leadership, achievement, team role n such stuff. Only thing is that I had googled chris storer, my interviewer and did let him know this through one of my questions. N rest as I always believe is your share of luck.
Without it no matter what you do, n how good you are , you cannot make the cut

Hie...
I am sorry for a late reply...starting the thread and absconding...actualy am out of town n will write a detailed post on my selection.
The crux...a good score and a very unconventional profile did me in i think...
740/5.5
2 + experience scatterted over automation, army and training
Extra curriculars, very good
Lotsa community service
Essays, i think i could not have done a better job...atleast in terms of structure and content.
As I said, will type a detailed mail on the entire experience very soon...
Congrats prash..let's get in touch...will PM you shortly..

Congrats Prabhu .....
I think BU is a decent school and with scholarship, it makes it all the more attractive.
I am waiting for my Duke decision, but with no schols available at Duke, I am determined to take my plunge at the BU.
Naren, make your essay very objective and I believe only adcom members review your essays (mostly american) , try to talk about things which might seem to be insignificant by Indian standards but might be significant for an American viz people handling skills and the likes.

Maxximus | Hey Maximus!
Dude you specified that you had some training stuff in the Army.
I wanted to ask how you portrayed it in your essays. I being one
of the unlucky chaps to miss the authority of army because of a
medical problem. I joined IMA and was suggested to return back
Well its history. I am applying to B-schools for Fall-08. I have 3 years
of work ex by fall 08. I scored 690 in GMAT, have excellent Extra C and
intense community work. If I can add the army thing in, I guess
I can make a cut, and patch-up my low GMAT score.
Dude plz answer soon as the deadlines are running faster.. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to hibhardwaj For This Useful Post: | | | | | |
