Hi Friends in MSU,

I am Siddharth and am actively looking at MSU for admission in '09.However while goin thru their website I see that the total cost is almost US $65000 .Such a huge amount would be difficult ,if nt impossible, to arrange for me.So could you please advice if shuld stop considering MSU (that wuld be sad).
I was lookin at a max of 10lakh of edu loan (since dnt own any property) and personal financing upto 3-4 lakhs but extending the same looks impossible...

Any ideas/pointers wuld be most helpful..
Waiting for reply.

Hi,

The amount is quite big..I agree, but to get the I20 and then the VISA, one needs to show the first year's living expenses. In the 2nd year one earns some amount through the internships one does..So that would help you save some money. You have a good GMAT score. You should be able to get a decent schol. I am not sure about the schol that MSU gives but colleges like Penn state, purdue give a decent amount of schol. One can get a graduate assitantship, tuition waiver (few cases) or a partial remittance of their tuition fee. So considering all that the amount of 65 K comes down drastically and all of a sudden the amount seems to be manageable..

Go through the PG thread of purdue 2008. You would come to know a lot about all the stuff that i wrote...

So before taking any decision try to get to know about the various options one has...

Cheers..
