Hello Tej,

Although Lancaster is 22nd in FT ranking but from my experience of talking to previous MBA students from Judge, Oxford etc i have figured out that Warwick is more known than Lancaster. Although Lancaster has very good research facility and fee is also less than Warwick although not very much though.

But Lancaster is little far from London so if you have to go for a single day trip it will be hectic.

It depends what you are looking in MBA because as you would have found till now that no school in UK will guarantee Job . I have been to Lancaster and i will say that Warwick is more picturious

Hi Folks,

I have been a silent reader of this group & great to have such kind of information sharing on LUMS.I have also been interviewed by an alumni few days back & want to know from those who have finally got selected that how many days after alumni interview u get a result & intimation about further interview from LUMS.Iam asking it because I have to give my decisions to other school as well.

Will appreciate if anyone gives a response on this.

Thanks!!

Actually there is not a lot to differentiate between the business schools of Warwick and Lancaster. In most parameters they do match up and the slightly better rep that the Warwick business schools has is due the excellent reputation of its parent University i.e. University of Warwick, which after Oxbridge is considered to be one of the best universities in UK. But for all means and purposes outside UK (and to a large extent within UK) there isnt a lot to differentiate between the 2 business schools, both of them are considered to be excellent.

Regards

Question Re: Lancaster 2008; interviews & beyond - 09-05-2008, 11:36 AM

I had my interview last evening and my decision status shows as "Unconditional". Does anyone know what that means? Does it mean that I have been offered a seat at Lancaster.

Can someone (people who already have admits) help.

-Amit

Yup, I would say you have an admit. I say this because I have an admit for their masters program and my status was also unconditional when I was offered a seat. Anyway just send them a email to confirm.

Re: Lancaster 2008; interviews & beyond - 10-05-2008, 08:52 AM

Hi,

I got my confirmed offer letter yesterday evening.

My alumni interview took place 3 weeks back but the feedback wasn't communicated to the school until this Tuesday. On Tuesday I got my interview scheduled for Thursday and after the interview on the same evening (late night) British time, my status was changed to unconditional on the website. Within 24 hrs of the interview, I got the confirmation email.

I have 4 weeks time to decide and deposit, but I think I will do it soon and confirm. Anyone else joining Lancaster?

-Amit
