Fisher-2008 Interviews and beyond

ppl...i would like to share something...

i knw of a grl (my frnds sis) who got into fisher at 640 directly after her 16th yr...dunno how she managed...bt tht was 4 yrs back. . .bt last yr fisher admitted 14% freshers...thts i guess highest for any coll in the top 25 rank.....

i believe IT ppl should have a veryyyy strong gmat to get into fisher.....one of my frnd had a campus visit this yr....he told me...even hez fmr IT....anyhting below 700 for IT ppl is tough. . .

That is scary, because Kara told me that one can expect decisions latest by Jan end. Am i gone?

Submitted on 14th. I know u figured out my experience by my age but that will just give u years and not how strong the work ex is. Just keeping my fingers crossed that i didn't mess up the interview.

Looking at the thread it seems that for all the accounts the status is "Deferred". I thought that is the case with only me. As vignesh274 has said, should we really call the adcom and ask them what can be done to improve our chances?

Hey Frns,

I am late to join this thread. I applied to Fisher too for R1 and so far there is no news from them apart from the status that shows 'Deferred' and almost took my life out. However, after reading your posts I now get a feeling that they have 'Deferred' status for all applicants.

Regarding my profile-
GMAT 720
Toefl 111
4.5 years experience with few years outside India

I am hoping to make it to interviews, it is a much needed call after few dings

Can you all please tell what's the detail of ur status? As in under Autumn 08, what does the Status row states?

It says - Your application has been initially evaluated and placed on a wait list. Notification of a decision will be sent at a later date.

Hey, is that what u guys also have in your app status, please confirm back

Even I have the same line on my Status Page. Whoever gets any mail or finds that the status has changed please post here.

Even my status shows the same.. I had mailed them and got a reply that my application has been waitlisted and will be reviewed again in the next rounds..
