Thats good ankit .. atleast you still have a chance..

based on my experience fisher gives a lot of importance to GMAT score.. 700+ can assure an interview call and a must if you want to be considered for a tuition waiver n all....

again it depends on the overall profile ..its good tat u have a gpa of almost 4 but i see you dont have ful ltime work ex ..... frankly speaking i think its difficult u land a partial waiver but since you have already completed your interview n if u did really well maybe you got a chance for an admit ....

all the best ....

Even I got interviewed. But while answering questions I didn't fully repeat what I wrote in the essays. Instead I was very brief and the interview took such a turn that I felt that elaborating too much was getting boring for both of us. Do you guys think that they go through the application essays before interviewing. Because whatever questions I was asked were what I felt they wanted to know more about me (apart from what I had mentioned in the application essays). And in the 30 mins. interview, i spoke for 15 min. and she spoke for the rest fifteen. And I was asked 4-5 questions while i asked 6 questions. Not sure as to what it all meant. And it ended on the note(positive or neutral, I can't say) that she said that she looks forward to talking to me again.

Will be great if you guys can shed some light on it. And please do share your experience.

As for my stats :-
GMAT 750[QA 51, V 40, AWA 4.0]
Toefl 105 [Reading 30, Listening 29, Writing 28, Speaking 18]

I got interviewed on 5th. Even mine is deferred. With the following line below :-
Your application has been initially evaluated and placed on a wait list. Notification of a decision will be sent at a later date.

What does this mean? What is your status currently? If I try to read between the lines the feeling is not so good

@ankit,Well, I dont read too much into what the adcomm says. I had a bitter pill to swalllow At SMITH. Kara did say that my score was competitive, that is all. I am unable to check my status online, so i really dont know my status. Given that people with 750 are waitlisted, i am sure its a ding for me!cheersV

I don't know what to make out of that waitlisted thing. All i know is that Kara was meant to be back in office on 10th. And around that time Fisher students were scheduled to leave for vacations. So may be any progress on application will start once the school is back in action. Hoping that is the case and status=deferred means that it will take time. In the interview I had enquired and was told that decisions will be released latest by Jan end. So may be this year they are not sending decisions on rolling basis and will be releasing the decisions together for people who applied till their first suggested deadline. If anyone gets an admit in December then I will start feeling nervous. Otherwise life is beautiful .
By the way has someone got or heard of someone getting an admit bag till now?

I don't know how much does the GMAT matter. And wonder how you figured out that I have a strong work ex. It will be almost 4yrs by the time I join and all in IT. However what is the application status reflecting in your case?
