Tepper (Carnegie Mellon) 2008 Interviews and Beyond

I got waitlisted with CMU..............however my dissapointment lasted about 10 mins...got admitted to Rotman, Canada with scholorship last night..........however, Tepper still remains my first choice and will have to wait till May to hear from them.....

I had applied to Tepper on 5th Jan 08 for Round 2. Today I got an email from Tepper asking me to schedule an interview. Inititally, I was elated. But now I am just wondering how come I got a decision from them so fast. Are all applicants invited for interviews?

Vital, dont worry. like amit mentioned above. Tepper interviews 80% of the applicants. Maybe they follow Last in first out methodology, considering i applied so late

Will complete 3 years experience in an IT mnc by fall 08. Project Leader currently.

Just out of curiosity, what is the source of the statement - "Tepper interviews around 80% of its applicants"

Quite possible, but I did not see this statistic mentioned anywhere before.

Iwas an applicant to the same school for Fall 2007 and did have an interview call and was interviewed telephonically. I read this somewhere last year. And that somewhere was a credible source
