Hi everyone,
I am applying this year to 5 universities in the US for a full time MBA program this year. I have learned that taking the GMAT and TOEFL exams is the perhaps the easier part of the rather consuming application process.
I found it extremely hard to write effective essays and express clearly my views and give the reader an insight into the kind of person I am, my goals and motivation to pursue an MBA. And, added to the demanding essays ,I had to contend with a hectic work schedule and frequent travel. I found myself slipping application deadlines and eventually writing sloppy essays.
My friend from college put me in touch with Nathan Labenz, a Harvard graduate who started his own personalized essay editing service to cater to the needs of busy MBA applicants. I got in touch with him and we worked together on two applications this year. I found the results extremely satisfying. My MBA research has been made so much easier because applicants and students have shared their experiences and views – and that is the reason I am sharing this information with a larger group of Indian applicants.
I loved the way Nathan worked on my essays – I would send him drafts and he would give me blunt and effective feedback on my essay content, structure, presentation and grammar. Nathan would also give me a revised version of my essay. The content of the essay would be the same as my draft – but markedly different in structure and expression. His service is also extremely affordable compared to most other editing sites such as 'accepted.com' and 'clearadmit.com' and I would say more personalized and value for money.
I have found friends, family and colleagues to be rather ineffective reviewers of essays as they tend to patronize you at times, and give your essay more credit than it actually deserves. It's important to have your essays reviewed by someone who doesn't know you and someone who can be an unbiased reader of the essay.
He is also eager to work with Indian applicants this year, and I would encourage you to get in touch with him I recommend doing so as early as possible as he gets tied down when major deadlines approach. I would also be glad to answer your questions based on my experience. Please send me a note on and I can help put you onto him . And, I assure you I'm not receiving any incentives out of this post.
