Never said or meant that. They do. most schools have tie-ups with Citibank and/or BoA.

I'll be attending the Kelley school of Business at Indiana university this fall and we are getting a non co signed loan from the university. However the rates are quite high and works up to 10.5 % before LIBOR (which is currently at 2.39). This is still better than a indian loans and saves a lot of hassle in paperwork and red tape.

I believe even Emory has a similar program (last time i checked)

Cheers,
-Ashwin

This one may be music to your ears.

Chicago GSB which momentarily discontinued its international student loans programs has reinstated the facility albeit with a different partner.

Minor correction: GSB did not discontinue its international student loan program. They just changed their lenders and dropped out of the school as lender program.

Cheers

Lol...sorry for confusing you.
In Cornell and in Stern you can get a "No-Cosigner-Loan" that is loan not requiring a co-signer, only upto the cost of tution. This means you can take around 40K $ per year in loans even if you dont have a co-signer. However, even by a frugal estimate you need a minimum of 60k per year.
Hope its clear now.

Hey guys,

For those of you looking to understand what the final loan situation looks like for international students at top schools in the US check out my post on PG here (US MBA Loan and Re-Payment->Worth It? A Discussion)

While it does not have the rates being charged - I plan to update it to reflect the same.

Best,

Rosh
