atleast two years work ex by the time you start... so I guess you will be considered..

I had an awful experience when i submited my application.
I got a mail from them saying that they had received only 1 reco letter. I had put all the documents ( transcripts, 2 recos, bank statement etc) in 1 envelope and posted it to them so it was highly impossible that just 1 reco reaches them and the other documents dont. I mailed their office stating all this and asked them to verify if they had received my documents. I didnt get a reply from them for 3 days. So i called the univ.

The dumb-female there told me that it was a mistake on her part and that mail was meant for someone else and she had sent that mail to me by mistake. When i asked her if she had received my documents she said she'll verify and mail me.

Still no mail for 2 days. So i called her up again. Then she said that she had received it and then she sent me the mail.

I think the authorities of Nanyang need to be taught a lesson in management and customer care. Dont know what they teach their students.

Now i don't know if i shd laugh or cry about ur experience !!

laugh becuz it was really dumb on their administrative part and cry cuz even i am one of the prospective applicants

anyways, one thing is for sure, its scored better by a huge margin in just one yr in FT ranking so there has to be something

from the posts here i wonder if it makes sense to apply now ! if they r gonna reply till mach end maybe i can apply till march second week
as such i have a couple of interview lined up till Feb end !

Hi all,

I completed my application way back in Oct 07. The adcom have come back with the below reply to me 11 days after I asked them for a status update .

"As the application deadline is in end March, many of the applications are still coming in. We are trying our best to ensure that every candidate is evaluated properly. Hence, we would start our evaluation after the deadline. We greatly appreciate your patience."

hey guys, good to see the enthusiasm and activity biulding in here with more applicants..my sincere apologies in case i m intruding this thread since i wish to apply the nest year.. i have 2 questions, will be glad if current applicants from their experience can throw some light on them
1. i have joined my job in june 07 and will complete only 18 months by the time the next apllication starts (assume dec 0..will this be valid/will I have be eligible to apply considering i comllete 2 years onlu\y in june 09
2. also no clear picture of placements has really come out of the above posts. i am frm finance background, any idea which specializations is nanyang really known for, if any..

will appreciate if u guys can resolve my queries..all the best to all applicants, hope we can se more pg representation in singapore as well.

I am just on the middle of my applications for Nanyang. Can someone please tell me what exactly needs to be in the bank statement that the application requires?? If you can provide a sample of the same, that'd be great!

Shipra,

I had requested NTU whether I can submit a sponsorship letter duly signed by my parents to suffice this requirement for which they had said yes and I went ahead with it. I guess you can also put such a request to them and get a sign off.
