Hey Puneet ,
Chill man .. seems u took offense to my comment
"Read it a year back " was only to indicate that it has been there for some time and of what I know there are a lot of initiatives taken by the CS guys to improve placements.
I believe the post suggests that technology placements have been very poor (only 3 tech / it companies listed - WIPRO HCL and one more)
During their era it was essentially students who would take the initiative but now the college really helps out
I met this Indian prof @ the NTU desk(world mba tour blore) and he said placements for tech are catching up (SIngapore as a country is making some efforts in this direction)
Singapore projects population will expand to 6.5 million in 40-50 years: cabinet minister - International Herald Tribune Singapore draws $3b of manufacturing investments
So I did some research and thought about where I stand -- decided to apply for TECH MBA
If I recall correctly , you have an admit..
So I guess you are going for it..
The scene however does not seem amazing for consultancy, I cannot recollect where I read about that. But as it turns out NTU average class seems a bit on the younger side (atleast Indians) to go in for fin consul / IB etc
anyway ..cheers mate
