Also, the Applicant No field in the above page takes 8 characters max, while both the other ids I got are more than 9

Thanks

Well, frankly speaking i don't remember if there was any Application number shown after I submitted the app. Maybe you are right. However, I got this mail from oracle@ntu.edu.sg one day after submitting the app which confirmed the payment and gave me the following details:

Application ID : MBA*******
Transaction Date: 28-MAR-2008
Item Description: NTU MBA Application Fees
Item Amount : $50
WorldPay Txn ID : **********
NTU Cart ID : MBAA*****

Also, I've got email confirmation from NTU later, that they have successfully received my application. But the status will take some time to be updated online.

You should have ur App No right after submitting online application. It has 8 digits begining with M08*****.

The email you mention above just the confirmation of receiving application fee.

If you didn't take note the app No, you can mail MBA office to ask them. Of course you must prove you urself.

By the way, is there anyone can tell me about the scholarship? Will they offer the scholarship couples with admission? Or we just need to wait untill they got all admission and then award scholarship among them?

Tks,

Hi Puys,
I was wondering how many people have applied for NTU admissions this year.

Anybody knows the statistics for the last year?Any idea what has been the historical success rate of applications?

I dissected the application ID to make a guess. The application ID has the pattern: M08XXXXX. I think the M stands for MBA, 08 stands for the academic year. The rest of the five digits stand for sequence number.

I completed my application around last week of march and my sequence number is close to 00800.

Does this mean around 800 people have applied for mba this year? There may be paper applications which may have a different sequencing.
Another thought - the sequencing started at 00001 or at an arbitrary number like 00100.
I am pretty sure of one thing though - keeping in mind the poor NTU web site design, none of you would have a sequence number of more than 00900.

Anybody who completed the NTU MBA application in oct-2007 - Could you please share the 3rd last digit of your application ID.

I had a colleague in my previous organization who had a GMAT score of 550 and around 2.5-3 years of IT experience in India and he was admitted last year.

Cheers,
NShar1

I guess when they confirm the receipt of documents, they mention the application number in the mail ( Anna's mail)

2> How are you adding value to your customer in your present role?
3> Which companies would you like to work for post MBA?
4> What are the major competitive examinations considered for entry into Business Schools in India?
5> Cite any one of the recent significant events and your view on the same.
6> Assuming the fact that you would not get any scholarship, how would you support your MBA financially?
7> How would you differentiate yourself from your peers during placement process?

I guess I did ok but waiting for the result which he said would be out within a maximum of month’s time.

BTW I had completed my application in mid October 2007. There was no prior notice for the interview and the call was from out of the blue.

ATB to all the applicants.

My profile:

GMAT: 670
Work Exp. : 5+ in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals sector
Present role: Sr. Engineer Supervisor heading a team of 9 in an MNC (4 in techno-commercial team and 5 in Engineering).

Cheers
