Hi people...
I have been searching for a thread that could help me collate info on MFE (Master in Financial Economics) offered by the Oxford University. I am sending my application for R2 of MFE. I would like to know if people in this thread are applying for MFE as well...
Anyways, I guess that the application procedure for MFE is almost the same as the application for MBA... but the parameters for judging the application may be different...
Regards,

Hey thank you Slow hand, Chriag and Prashant.
I believe the rejcted candidates are informed. Why don't you reply to the email that you received acknowledging your app. i have been getting emails from the same person who acknowledged and said that i should hear shortly. I was given dates starting Nov 9th till mid december. I wrote back opting for the Oxford open day on 7th december. i will receive a reply next week if its ok or not for them.
guys any help on the interview questions is welcome. yes, primarily i need to back up my app. what else?
I am trying to finish the app for Cambridge R1 and Insead R2. so a hectic few weeks ahead.
if anybody else hears from ocford, please do let us know.

Finally... me got a call too . I am yet to respond with choice of location. As i am in India, i am not sure what will be awarded finally. However, they had asked for choice of cities in India. Wont that hold good? Would we get only telephonic interview options?

hey congrats Ajay and Sethankur,
let us know once you get ur interview date confirmed.
if they are asking for choice of cities in India, it seems they will be there. I remember reading in some other thread that oxford took interviews in India but i can't bet on my memory. I am spending too much $$ just for the sake of being present there IN oxford. it's always better to see the people and school and show them my face i thought rather than giving a telephonic interview. Shud see if it pays off well.
I yesterday got a confirmation that 7th December - oxford open day at 1300 hrs is the interview. now i am busy checking flights and applying for visa.
I am not sure how many got calls in the R1 and what the calls: seats ratio is. any body got an idea?

I talked to a ex oxford student. Seems that they have Indian interviews for round 2 applicants. They have some major event planned during that tie of the year. I may get some info soon.
