And the dates for evaluations as of now are 13/14 oct.....If u satisfy the admission criteria, then u may be called in for the same.....

Please tell me what is the atmosphere and how are the rounds as listed below.

1. Essay -----> what is it about ??? do you have the topics which were given out there?

2. Case Study ----> what are the topics out there?

3. Group Discussion ----> Topics?? how many people form a group? are they checking the content or more emphasis on etiquettes and conduct??

4. Group Interview ----> Is it for testing technical knowledge ? Functional knowledge?? or more of question like Why MBA or Why DUBAi/singapore ??

5. Personal Interview ----> Is it with the director??? What is this all about???

How is the environment in all these rounds??? what is the crowd like?????

HI CG,

The topics for the essay for my evaluation were:
1. Describe an instance where you had to take a leadership role and what did you learn out of it.
2. Describe an innovative solution you provided and how did it help

In my case had a business essay instead of case study:
1. You are the head of business of a product/service....what 3 things would you do to increase sales...

GD:
1. How relevant is gandhism in todays world
2. Management studies: are they necessary to succeed in business?

We had 9 people in the GD....the time was sufficient for each of us to participate...The Panel briefed that they wanted the group to reach a conclusion..NO fish market kinds of atmosphere!!

Sorry missed out on 2 questions:

4. Panel Interview: we didn't have a group interview unlike that happens when you apply for SPJ mumbai .....Instead we had a panel interview...Questions related to what ur profile is... at wrk place... what you want to do after the program... which kind of industry are you targeting for placement etc...Not technical ...at lest for me....

This round is touted to be an elimination one...all those who clear this are interviewed by the director...

5. Director interview...It seemed more like a casual talk.. just felt that he wanted to see you in person... and check ur communication....a little on what you aim for in life... Since i was having a difference in what background i have and what i opted... he asked for a justification....

Cool n calm interviews..no stress interviews...

Essay 1 : Why MBA and Why now.
Essay 2 : What are your short term and long term plans after MBA
Case Study : A firm lacks in IT infrastructure, you being one of the directors have to convince the other members on the board. If they agree what will be your immediate execution strategy.
GD (we were batch of four)
Topic: Globalization is good or bad.
We argured for sometime, at last THE MAN told us to conclude it, he gave chance to all individuals to conclude their views.
PI
We all were PI’ed by the center director (I guess) and one more chap. some ques i recollect
Q1: Tell us about yourself
Q2: You are doing good in your job, career is going smooth, then why a FULL time MBA.
Q3: What are the challenges you face in Job and how this program will help to out to handle it better.
Q4: You are from ERP back ground, what company you will prefer a pure logistics or a company making logictics s/w (I screwed up this one )
Q5: Where do you see yourself after 2 years 6 years and 10 years from now.
Then some questions related to my job like industry standards, erp vendors etc etc but nothing technical or ope
Over all the penal was very warm and understanding, listens to you.
Work on your application, they have all your details and essays what you write in exam at the time of interview. Since they are very tolerant be precise.

The entire process is very systematic no chaos at all, in dubai not many candidates showed up so it was very clam and peaceful
