Sandhya

among china/india/dxb dxb has highest growth rate
Banking, Financial, retail, logistics and service markets are already matured and thriving, eco is on the boom, In my personal view dubai cud be the best place to learn above here these are areas are much structured, matured and defined. but yes it has its own share of problem being the global cities (SG/DXB) you have to fight with the global talent, both the cities are moving in really fast pace catching up with this speed is also not easy you are always on the edge

Analyse all this on case to case basis and nail it when you are 100% asured

Is it worth the investment? If we plan to take up a loan or something for the fees payment, will we be able to repay with the jobs we get out there?

For which batch is that ?

Thanks

The figures are still confusing for placement and i am sure individual official breakup (India/SG/DXB wise) cannot be provided by anyone. All we can request fromt the current batch is to provide the unofficial breakup (i am very much sure insti will npt release them this yr as well) after the entire process is over.

don't go in the highest sal of 57L, chap is based in US and this includes(bonus+acc+perks+sal+commision- if he performs) thats wat i came to know frm a friend of mine who studied with this guy.

all i am saying is do not apply for these figures
see the big picture course structure is cutting edge, faculty is just awesome, global exposure of dubai and sg, brand name of SPJ, finally most of the blue chip companies visit the campus so it boils down to you

currently as a policy you can only sit get selected for ONE company, but ppl have got some excellant lateral offers before placements

I have accepted this offer looking beyond the placements thinking the long term prespective.

Cur. students can comment on this

Cheers

Hi,

Average work ex maybe 3-3.5 yrs and the trend may continue for ure batch as well. But I would still advice you to go ahead and apply ...

a) There are a couple of freshers and quite a few wth less than 2 yrs work ex.
b) It would be good for you to get into a class with people having a good no. of yrs work ex simply because the learning and the perspective u get would be very good.
c) The criteria for selection is not just a simple work ex figure or an acads percentage ... but concentrates on the fact that how mature u r and how ready u r for an MBA. So being a fresher in no way disqualifies you. If u think u r ready for an MBA, then by all means go ahead and apply.

Hope this clarifies ...

Rgds,
RMJ

Hi Blackblade...

I can understand this...but my concern is taking the average of Indian and Foreign placements is a wrong thing....

In India the salaries are pretty much lower as compared to foreign salaries...so if you take a average you would not get the right figure...

Now if the average for IT Management is quoted at 11 lacs this would also include the 57 lacs package and thus the average is too high. I would never come to know what is the salary I can expect in India or Singapore or Dubai since the standards are different at these places.

I request the current students to calrify on this....as this is a crucial decision for many...placements are most important factor and the best judge of a B-School....even other colleges in India quote international figures seperately.....
