SP Jain (Singapore/Dubai) GMBA - Jan 2008 Intake

Hi,
I have another ques related to Techmechie's ques abt placements in IT. Could any one with some info please reply:

1) Were there any international offers from Indian IT co's??
2) The highest salary quoted on SPJ website is 18LPA. What was the job profile offered for this?

Boss I have got the call for 8th Dec schedule of GD\PIs..

My case is very much similar to yours that i have no Finance Experience or Bckgrnd ( IT ) yet i have opted for IB....reason being i have lot of interest in the same etc..

Soplz guide me on the kind of grilling they do also on exact Qs they ask on Capital Markets & on finance....any website which is useful for the same do lemme know..

Mine was real stress interview, i had applied for WM... basically grilled me on finances and y i wanna take it.. they kept stressing that after i passout ill get only 6L as starting salary!!! dunno y.. but the stats and numbers say a different story.

anyways... hoping for the best..

Ohh is it welas far as the avg sal are considered they are avg of Indian & Dubai\Sing salaries effectively a salary of 7 LPA is equivalent to 14-15 of Dubai\Sing so the avgs don't always paint the correct picture still i feel the Finance & marketing placements are better compared to IT\HR as far as SP Jain GMBA is concerned...can u share ur contact no.....need more info on the same..all the best then.

i am currently working for an IT company in Dubai .My prior experience is with Infosys for 1 yr.Do i stand a chance for getting into SP with this. My academics is approx 68 % (Mumbai University)
Also tell me wat r the chances of getting placements back in India

hi,

I had my Eval on 25 Nov 8.30 Am slot.

I think I had a nice GD and good enuff PI but still I was not told to go for next round of interview. I guess Interview people eliminated me.....But it is really complex to understand as to what could be the reason for a bad interview.....specially when interview people did not mentioned anything about MBA in interview. All they were interested were what I did in my 4 years of work ex(IT telecom domain)....i got questions like what are latest happening on telecom...lots of ques about wireless/GSM networks.....and apart from that questions about my extra curriculars.......I am sure I answered all of them pretty confidently.....but word MBA was never mentioned in interview...and suddenly they said Thanks ......


With no 2nd round of interview..I guess its all over and now i need to look at some other colleges....

Buddy even I'm appearing for the last batch of GD\PIs scheduled for 8th and its a IT telecom workex for me as well say 3yrs and my choice is for Inv Banking ....so buddy plz lemme know what kinda telecom related Qs they were upto...and was ur choice a Non IT one as well.....

i am too appearing for SP jain jan 08 intake, for furthr evaluation rounds...wel iipy i m in to a service indstry for past 2 yrs....and hv filld in my spec for service mgt only....jz guide me wt kinda ques cn b askd buddy....n wt bot case studz n grup int/GD??? do gme an iota bot dese thngz plzzzz....
