hi again......
Well, I am really not sure about the dates ... a good idea at this point in time would be to write to Mr Udayawar who works in the AIM's representative office at Mumbai. (you can get his email ID as well as the phone numbers from this thread, many people have mentioned it in several posts).

As far as the scores is concerned.....AIM wont let you know about your scores......I also couldn't understand the logic behind it, but then thats how it is, but since the exam is fairly easy so you dont need to bother much. Also, since AIMAT scores can't be used anywhere else....so whats the point in knowing the scores

hope it helps

thanks & regards

I'm surprised they told you something like that. You might want to take a clarification on that.

But the deadline was 31st May, so how come you application was late?

Let me know guys if you have any queries for the AIM application. I got an admit with scholarship from AIM way back in 2004. I did not take my GMAT when I applied for AIM but took it later when I decided to pursue US MBA.
Best,
MB

I would also suggest the applicants to talk to the Mumbai office representatives. They are many a times flexible with requirements if you show serious intent of studying at AIM once you get an admit. So be sincere in your communications and show genuine interest in the school.
Best,
MB

Re: Asian Institute of Management (AIM) 2008 discussions - 06-07-2008, 11:36 AM

But the school sure has lost its sheen over the years. IT is no longer as sought after as it was way back in 2004 when you had applied to it. There are many reasons for that but whats your take on the current image of the school.

Besides I've also noticed that the class is dominated by Indians, not a healthy sign if you are looking for an international experience.

Also I am keen to know why you did not take up the AIM admission considering you secured a scholarship along with your admission

Agreed to what you said.
The image of the school has been slipping from being the most sought after school a decade back to one of the good B-schools in Asia. The school has been actively trying to put an aggressive campus program (which frankly defines the reputation of the school).
The other important aspect to be kept in mind is that most of the students sought jobs in the Singapore market and NUS takes the lead in that market. AIM is a great school and you can make the most of it, if you are focused about your post-MBA aspirations ....

Going back to your question about why I did not join AIM (I asked for one year carry over for my admit) ... it was a tough decision which I though was 'not well thought of' at best. Immediately getting an admit from AIM, I appeared for GMAT (just because everyone around me was doing so) and scored 750. I also got an opportunity to build my profile through an international assignment in my job... so I thought may be I will apply to US/Canada B-schools one year later. I got lucky in the process .. got admits from 2 out of the 3 schools I applied for. I got scholarships from these two schools as well. Its ironic though .... I heard scholarships are rare!
Best,
MB

Hey Killer,
May be call them once and push your case without offending them. In worst case scenario, I would say you have an additional year to build your profile.
Someone has said .. all that happens .. happens for good so wait and watch!
Good Luck,
